I don’t usually write reviews. I only do so when a hotel is truly exceptional or when the experience has been terrible. Unfortunately, this is the latter case. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the past ten years. My previous experiences were generally positive — I was assigned clean, comfortable rooms in good condition, check-in was quick, and the service was attentive. I honestly don’t know what has happened to this hotel. I wonder whether there has been a change in management, or if they have simply fallen into the mistake of relying on their reputation and neglecting the details that truly matter to guests. My most recent stay was, on average, terrible. The front desk service upon arrival was rude and extremely slow — I had to wait more than 30 minutes just to check in. I was then given the worst room in the hotel: dirty, poorly maintained, noisy, with both the fan and the AC making such unbearable sounds that it was impossible to rest. Worst of all was the bathroom, which was in a disgraceful state of deterioration. It is truly disappointing that a loyal guest is treated this way. Regardless of whether the reservation was made through Expedia or any other platform, the hotel should honor the expectation of a room in proper condition, as advertised. I will definitely not return to this hotel. And yes, I can already anticipate the management’s response — the standard apologies and the usual promises to improve. Meaningless words.

I like the place and all the amenities. I asked for a technician for the tv and my iwatch disappeared from the room. I am still don’t find it. The only person different that entered to the room was him.

Great place to stay. - my first stay was in 2009 or 2010. …..i must admit Cartagena has many options - this year was first stay in quite a few years — returning again at the end of June - bringing oldest son with his kids — 3 years ago we stayed at other hotel in the boquilla neighborhood….
