Very unique property. The location is amazing you can really walk to most things. The breakfast was great , a lot of options and delicious every time. The views are really pretty as well. My only complaint was noise , I think my room was not in a good location because two out if the three nights I stayed I could hear people laughing and screaming all night. Overall is a great hotel only issue was the noise.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, close to everything we needed, and very convenient for exploring the area. My family and I truly had a wonderful time. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful—they went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed throughout our stay. It really made a difference and made us feel welcome and cared for. I would highly recommend this place—100%! If I ever have the chance to return, I will absolutely choose this hotel again without hesitation.

We had the one bedroom apartment. It was big, AC worked great and having a washer and dryer was convenient. Breakfast is good and delivered each morning at set time. A beautiful rooftop pool area, the view is truly amazing. If you are looking for a relaxed hotel experience this may not be your best choice. Breakfast and housekeeping can make you feel like you are on a bit of a schedule. Very friendly and helpful staff but felt like we were continuously answering the door. Seems well suited for families or larger groups.

The good - friendly staff that is overall professional and helpful. Excellent location in historic center of walled city. Very clean. Responsive to requests. The bad - the room was advertised with a king sized bed with a tv’s with satellite channels. The bed was queen sized and neither tv had satellite channels (no cable), only access to apps (line Netflix, etc). The phones in the room never worked despite me informing staff several times (they tried to fix but could not). The only streaming app that app that worked was Netflix (other apps like Max and Apple TV stopped working after the first day), I reported this but they only fixed Netflix (which stopped working after the first day) and not the other apps. Another issue was the transportation from the airport to the hotel was 150,000 Colombian pesos. I assumed this was the going rate that taxis charged. When I got to Cartagena, all the taxis confirmed they only charged 22,000 Colombian pesos to the historic center per Colombian law. The hotel’s transportation was just a regular car, maybe not considered a taxi, but a similar type of small car with no extra amenities, effectively the same as a taxi. So to be overcharged in this way was not a good first impression. More good - the pools are beautiful and clean. The breakfast was good although arrived late each day.

Our family had an AMAZING time at Casa Claver. It is in the heart of everything in the walled city and areas nearby. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL. Ours was incredibly spacious and you could spend weeks there. Our kids loved the small rooftop terrace swimming pool and we loved the view from the terrace. The breakfast delivered to your room was a special touch for everyone. The staff was so kind and helpful even before our arrival. Even though it’s an older open air building the a/c in the rooms kept everything super comfortable (keeping the doors closed helps). We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave.

A beautiful hotel

I was very impressed with this boutique hotel in the historic district in the walled city. My room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious. Benjamin at the front desk, as well as the rest of the staff, did a great job making my stay pleasant and unforgettable. I hope to travel to Cartagena again and will definitely stay at Casa Claver.

This property is beautiful and clean, in an excellent location. Rooms are large, but the kitchen area is open air, so if you actually planned to cook, it might get fairly warm. The rooftop pool is beautiful with seats in sun and shade, and an ice machine nearby. Air conditioners worked well and it was handy to have an elevator available as we stayed on the third floor. Front desk service was excellent.

This was an excellent property conveniently located in the Centro Historico. It was very clean, safe and the included breakfast was delicious with several options and delivered promptly each morning at our desired time. We especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. The rooftop pool provided amazing views of the city and was a lovely spot to unwind, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The best part about this hotel is its staff. James and Benjamin were excellent hosts who responded promptly to any questions and helped arrange our excursions and provided restaurant recommendations. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming and attentive. It was a very enjoyable stay and my family will stay there again anytime we visit Cartagena.
