I stayed twice before as a solo traveller in winter and spring and had been quite happy with my stay. This time round I came with my children and had a double queen bed room. I wasn’t overly happy with my stay. It felt quite difficult and not comfortable.
The staff is lovely and very helpful, no problem there. But the room didn’t feel comfortable. I couldn’t get the shower to work in the first room and the tap came off, so we were changed to an identical room where the shower was just as tricky. It’s either too hot water (not nice after a day at the beach and slightly burnt skin!) or cold, and there is no pressure. The bathrooms were very large but awkward to use, tiny space around the sink and nowhere to put towels down.
The second room had no full length mirror, minor detail but what hotel room does not have a full length mirror? Beds overall weren’t very comfortable and the bedding was not nice.
Kids enjoyed playing ping pong on the garden but the pool was not good, it looks lovely from afar and the little lights at night look lovely but it’s very shallow (boring for a 10 and 13 year old!) so we didn’t use it at all.
The daily 27 dollar charge for parking is an additional fee to factor in, though many hotels in the area do charge a fee for parking too.
The hotel itself has a nice feel but I didn’t feel the room was worth the money and while I’ve stayed before, I’ll now hesitate staying again. I think some rooms need to be checked and given a little upgrade.
