Don’t judge a book by its cover !

The hotel is tired but do not let that fool you. What it lacks in appearance it makes up for in good service and friendliness. The room is dated but clean and the linen was spotless. The food was excellent. The man on reception also served at the bar could not do enough for you. The hotel is quirky but for the price and a decent nights sleep it was good enough for us

It was understaffed, dated, the receptionist was also the barman, waited 25 minutes for a drink as there was a queue waiting to check-in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Building was dated surrounded by tall weeds and litter. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together, both lumpy mattresses. But it was just a cheap 1 night stay to break up a long journey. You get what you pay for

Good hotel for price but let down at breakfast

Good Hotel for price paid. However paid for full cooked buffet breakfast the night before to find only half defrosted bread for toast and little cereal, nothing else. Partial refund was given but didn't really make up for it.

For the price paid the hotel was good, the room was a bit dated but clean enough. Staff on reception were polite and helpful. But be aware of parking charges, I gave my reg plate info at arrival but have still got hit with a parking fine even after appealing it - I didn't see the kiosk where I should of entered my details!

The guy on reception was very helpful, he seemed to be running the hotel on his own, he had to check in the guests then like myself wanted to order food so he was taking orders for the kitchen also he was the barman too serving the drinks he deserves a pay rise,the only down side I booked a twin as there wasn't any doubles left the 1 bed the quilt/ top blanket had a couple of marks/stains on it so I slept in the cleaner bed,the food was quite nice too, well worth waiting for as like I wrote earlier the guy was checking in guests while I was waiting to order my food, really needed someone else helping him...

This was amazingly low cost and economic on your purse. The staff were very helpful, though they seemed a bit over worked. Be prepared for issues at breakfast though - they get a bit overwhelmed by in the mornings so you might find knives or forks or some items of food missing. This soon gets rectified though when people ask. When we were there reception staff had to help out a bit at breakfast time. The room we stayed in was clean and nice.

Basic affordable accomodation. A bit tired but everything worked - great shower, TV, tea & coffee, hairdryer. There's a table tennis room for guests too, but we were too tired to give it a go sadly. A 15 minute walk from town centre.

When I booked it was supposed to have a bath and shower but it only had a shower which was still okay, when I checked out in the morning the girl on reception said it might have been some sort of mix up but other than that the room was okay...
