Not a great stay.

This hotel is badly in need of a refit. The room I had was not very clean and very old tired furniture. Bathroom light a horrible industrial stark light whilst the room lights were very dark. Very shabby and would look great after a refit

Clean and friendly

It is an old hotel but you can find it is clean with excellent staffs. The staffs like the hotel and put a lot effort to keep it great. Even it is old and the condition is not so good, it is good to stay.

Perfect Hotel in perfect location

Stayed here for 1 night so I could attend an Alice Cooper concert. The hotel was ideally located in the city centre, close to shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk from the concert venue. The lady on reception was really friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, clean and tidy. Most importantly it had a kettle with tea and coffee. I will definitely stay here again when i return to Cardiff

Building work noise!

Very old dated property even the taps in the toilet were different! The corridors were scary and building work outside room noisy tired to get a refund but they declined!

The bathroom water was cold as ice, I tried everything to get it to hot but nothing worked. Other than this, the staff were really friendly and caring.

It's an old but well kept property bang in the city centre with shops, restaurants, pubs, the central train & bus stations nearby. It's so accessible that we had no need for transportation at all. The major drawbacks are that breakfast isn't available on week days and the hotel has no elevator, so get ready to log your heavy luggage all the way up flights of creaky stairs.

Me and my daughter stayed here on the 23/6/2025 when we came to see Lana Del Rey. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely receptionist. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also well stocked with tea, coffee etc and a lovely treat of Welsh cakes. Location wise you can't go wrong either. You are in walking distance of Principality Stadium & the train station. So a couple of minutes walks to both. You are also close to lots of eateries & bars. You are in a central location. If we ever go back to Cardiff, we will definitely book here again, without a doubt
