I checked into the Holiday Inn Express and was immediately disappointed by the cleanliness of my room. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower, and the sink clearly hadn’t been wiped down—there were visible fingerprints and water spots all over the faucet. The carpet needed to be vacuumed, and the tile entryway was filthy. I went to the front desk to report the issue, expecting they might send housekeeping. Instead, they offered to switch my room and had someone—an older gentleman—check the new room before I moved. Unfortunately, the second room was even worse than the first. At that point, I didn’t bother going back to the front desk. It was clear that their definition of “clean” was very different from mine. I ended up rinsing what felt like a hundred black hairs out of the shower before I could even use it. It was unacceptable. I’ve stayed at this location in the past and had a better experience, but it’s gone significantly downhill since my last visit in August of last year. I won’t be returning unless major improvements are made.

We arrived late in the evening and had 3 children under 8 yrs old needing to get to bed. We asked for pull out couch bedclothes and after waiting over 30 minutes had to go back and ask again. We finally got them at 11pm. Customer service needs some work.
