You found it! The Happy Owl Lakehouse, built in 2019, has been lovingly designed to provide guests with an unforgettable experience of beauty, comfort, and joy. Relax in modern peaceful style in this newly-constructed oasis on the banks of Canyon Lake, located midway between San Antonio and Austin in the lush Texas Hill Country. Whether you're wanting peace and quiet, a fun-filled get-away to bond with friends and family, a taste of "Lake Life", or adventurous day trips packed with boating, tubing, cave exploring, safari tours, ziplining, Schlitterbahn, Six Flags, antiquing, dancing to live music, or much more, the Happy Owl makes for an excellent central base of operations.

The Happy Owl Lakehouse, with its high ceilings and huge windows, is located on the south shore of Canyon Lake, with beautiful sunset views from spacious waterfront decks and balconies with plenty of seating, lounge chairs, and tables for outdoor dining. Enjoy direct and private access to the lake, the propane BBQ grill, a hot tub for 6, an outdoor shower, indoor/outdoor sound system that connects to your device via Bluetooth, three large flat-screen "smart" televisions with 100 cable channels, WiFi internet, and brand new appliances throughout, including full sized washer/dryer, and the amenities of a modern kitchen.

Two downstairs bedrooms each have a king-sized bed, black-out blinds, and a private full bathroom, one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath tub. A separate half-bath also accommodates guests on the first floor. The second floor offers a large bedroom with two queen-sized beds, a loft area containing a day bed and trundle bed (two twins), a "kids zone" with toys, games, and puzzles, another full bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and a balcony that runs the full width of the house, overlooking the lower deck and lake. The Happy Owl is ready for the making of your extraordinary memories year round!

**The health and safety of our guests is paramount. Cleanliness is always our top priority. We offer a 24-hour guest service contact number for emergencies and messages will be answered promptly. Arrive after four o’clock when it is convenient for you with an easy and contactless check-in and out process for our guests.

Wow - You won't be disappointed!

This house is beautiful, comfortable, and has all the touches you need for a special stay. The kitchen is one of the most well-equipped in all the rental homes I've seen, and I cook a lot so that's important. They even stock a variety of K-cups for the coffeemaker.The deck and hot tub are exceptional. And the view is unmatched. The dining table is large and would seat at least 10 if not 12. We were able to work remotely on the wifi without issues, which was a plus.The only thing to note is that it's only kind of a 4 bedroom; there are three true bedrooms (with baths) and one upstairs den with a pull-out couch and a small kids' nook (think room under the stairs vibe). It wouldn't work for four couples but works great for 3 couples plus kids. There are some steep stairs down from the deck and down to the lake so keep that in mind if you have small kids.We will be back!

Fantastic spot

30th birthday weekend

Spectacular View

I’ve stayed at many different rentals. This one by far was one of the nicest. It was beautifully decorated and accommodated our family of eleven very well. The view of the lake was spectacular. Weekend Stay

The property was as advertised. The pictures don't do the view justice. The pictures make the view look good but it's even better in person. We had eleven people in the house comfortably and used the kayak, floats and floating mat to hang out at the lake. The location is convenient to hiking the guadalupe river trail and going to concerts at the Whitewater Ampitheatre. We will likely be back in the future.

This property is unreal, From the Lake view to the incredible home decor!

I have never in my life walked in a house and thought I wouldn’t change a thing about this, that was my thought when I walked in this one! I LOVED the decor down to every little detail. And the house has SO much bright natural sunlight it’s Beatiful. And can’t say enough about the Beatiful view of the lake and sky! Also the kitchen had so much stuff available from every cooking pot you would ever need to ziplock bags and spices, it was super helpful!

Girls retreat

The home was beautiful and perfectly positioned on the lake for easy access. Our only complaint would be that the cleaning lady was not finished in time for us to arrive at 4pm. Everything else was wonderful. Once suggestion would be to have locks on the bedroom doors, not just the bathroom doors.
