Charming village house with garden and balcony overlooking the lake.
Nestled in the tranquillity of the historic centre of Donego, a hamlet of Cannero Riviera, Casa del Prete is the ideal place for those who want to experience the slow pace of life in the villages overlooking the lake. The property, which can only be reached on foot via a walk through the narrow streets of the village, is spread over two floors and has a lush garden on two levels with stone table and chairs where you can enjoy meals with friends. The house, built in the typical historical style of the village, has modern amenities: the bathrooms are new, the kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and there is central heating.
Rooms:
ground floor: living room with fire place and double bedroom;
mezzanine floor: bathroom with shower;
first floor: kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining room with fire place, double bedroom with balcony.
Garden on two levels with stone table.
Sleeping places: double bed and French bed.
Location: the property is located about 300 metres from the public car park on the right edge of the small village of Donego, a sunny hamlet of Cannero Riviera at about 400 metres above sea level, with ample opportunities for hiking in the surrounding woods and mountains. Donego is 4 km from Cannero Riviera, where there are several restaurants, bars, a grocery store, a bakery, the lakefront and a beautiful beach. Cannero Riviera and the lake can be reached in 30-40 minutes via a hiking trail below the house.
Special notes: due to the access stairs and internal stairs, the accommodation is unfortunately not suitable for people with walking difficulties or small children.
Bed linen and towels are provided.

Access/parking: Take State Road 34 Lago Maggiore (Locarno, Ascona, Brissago, Cannobio) to Cannero Riviera to collect the keys from our office. About 1.5 km after the Zanetti agency, turn right towards Cassino. After about 500 m, at the third hairpin bend, turn left towards Ponte and after about 100 m take the road uphill on the right. Continue uphill until you reach the village of Donego, where you will need to park in the public car parks. Continue on foot into the village, taking the pedestrian street above the public car park, pass the small church and continue to the edge of the village. Here, on the left, a steep staircase will lead you to the entrance of the Prete house.
