The swim up balcony was a nice touch. Too much noise since next to major road. Repairs going on 2 days where the drilling was so noisy.

Akuazul Adults Only Resort is a really nice hotel with so much potential. When I stayed, it was under some construction, but you can already see how beautiful it’s going to be once everything is complete, this place should be looking incredible by 2026. The resort has a very unique style that sets it apart from more traditional hotels. My favourite places to hang out were the beach area, with all the funky outdoor furniture, and the rooftop glass pool, which was such a cool and memorable experience. The beach is on the smaller side, but that actually makes it feel very private and peaceful. There’s lots of creative wicker-style furniture made of sticks, including swings and multiple lounging areas that make it easy to relax and soak up the sun. A special shoutout to Jose! He was an exceptional waiter and truly went above and beyond. He would serve you no matter where you were on the property, always with a great attitude. Food and drink prices were very reasonable for a resort. Overall, Akuazul already has a great vibe, and once renovations are complete, it’s going to be something really special.

The hotel is being rehab so some areas are a little run down and people are working on restoring them. The hotel is really close to the street so you can hear the noise from the cars driving by all day and night long specially from the swim out rooms. On site beverage options are really limited. Otherwise you can tell property has good potential once they finish all the restoring. Clarifying point: it does not have access to the beach. It has some lounge chairs on top of the sand but no access to the beach.

Overall our stay was great but had mixed reviews: The bad: as we’re walking around the grounds needs upkeep pretty bad. Some trash and some areas closed. The room views were beautiful but bathroom small and there was no water for like 30 mins. The good: the hotel is beautiful! Very visually appealing- very unique! The staff was very friendly and sweet and helpful. The restaurant food was real good! Restaurant staff treated us very well! Rooftop pool was very nice with amazing views. Overall was mixed between 3-4 stars! Would stay again for sure!

The staff were very nice but it seem like hotel is going under renovation or is lacking alot of funding for the upkeep of the resort, :( and the smell like sewage:( I would've thought the breakfast would have been more but it was just fruit and one pancake but the ppl were nice.

The staff was extremely gracious and friendly. When we needed anything, they were there to help. Our stay was outstanding. The location was very good. We were close to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. We will definitely return to Akuazul!

The place is a gem that needs some polishing but totally worth the visit, if you are not looking for the party day and night vibe. The personal and warm attention from the staff is just like a high end hotel, Angel running the staff professionally, Mrs. Blanca warm and attentive, Antonio great personality and always willing to go above and beyond to make the guests comfortable and throwing a couple of twenty ones while getting to know them as Jose and Samuel get the drinks going made it a great experience. Yes you are away from la zona hotelera but if you want some peace and quiet and a little piece of paradise in the making, check this place out. A couple of recommendations for management, get the repairs that obviously you are completing done, change the material on the outdoor chairs and stools and it will make a difference for those guests that are more critical. For the guests, one thing you should consider at this time there is some road noise which if you take a pool side room is less noticeable due to some upgrades the hotel has already made, good for them. I will be back.
