Staff were very friendly and accommodating but unfortunately it is very evident that management are going overboard in cost cutting. Our fridge was set to barely below room temperature which was frankly a health hazard. Three rolls of toilet paper and three towels for two people for four nights is not adequate provision. Yes we could go down and get more at reception but it's far nicer to just be provided with those things than having to walk through the hotel with an arm full of toiletries. I note there were no sanitary bags provided or shower caps. Not a deal breaker but had I known I would have brought my own. I assumed those things were standard? One thing that upset us was the lack of fresh air in the room (another cost cutting measure?), it was difficult to get any sleep as it became stuffy and hot which meant we had to turn the air con on but then had to turn it off again, then it became too cold with it blowing on us so we couldn't settle. The other thing was the website said we were getting two twin beds which we took to meaning two double beds but we were given two singles. The location of the hotel is great, three stops down the tram line to Civic which connects you to the rest of the transport network. Reception is 24 hr which was most appreciated. Please just look after your guests a bit more as the little things that make going to a hotel special make all the difference. Little biscuits after a long trip, a couple of bottles of shampoo and conditioner etc.
