The toilets getting blocked with minimal toilet paper use was a nuisance. No shampoo or body wash was also disappointing. First impression was bad as we had water on the main bedroomFloor left from cleaning. The second bathroom window being open also was annoying as the wind was making howling sounds all night. The sheets could have been cleaner.

Spectacular Situation

This villa is situated in a spectacular location with living quarters all on one level (including car parking). A sparrow-type hawk hovers directly opposite the villa's numerous windows and balconies some 450 m above a pristine gorge overlooking the vast ocean and Calheta's fishing harbour. Unusually for Madeira's south coast, the villa is not surrounded by other buildings. On one side of Villa Loreto is a small field with a ordnance survey station, on the other an older dwelling, and directly across the road is a small green with occasional levada water. In summary, fresh, breezy air in a sunny and quite traditional setting with good access to local village centres.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt auf Madeira. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist wirklich toll – man ist schnell bei allen wichtigen Spots, hat aber dennoch absolute Ruhe. Die Abwicklung war vollkommen unkompliziert und die Unterkunft war sauber, gepflegt und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht.Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich gut.Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Das Haus war sehr sauber. Das Mobiliar nicht neu, aber alles hat funktioniert. Die Kommunikation mit dem Verwalter/Vermieter war sehr gut. Der Ausblick ist einfach genial. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub.

Prachtige ligging, in de keuken alles aanwezig, prima badkamers. Dus veel comfort behalve de bedmatrassen: deze van de singelbedden zijn versleten en hobbelig, deze van het éne dubbel bed erg hard. Van het andere dubbel bed prima.Het sleutelkastje hangt verstopt aan de andere zijde van de tuinpoorten. Deze waren op slot bij aankomst.

Traumlage mit Meerblick

Wir waren zu dritt in diesem schönen Haus mit sensationellem Blick auf die Südküste und den Atlantik. Sowohl vom Balkon wie auch einen Teil des Gartens hat man einen wundervollen Blick auf das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang. Der Pool ist sauber und erfrischend. Im Garten gibt es einen gemauerten Grill und es sind ausreichend Liegen, Schirme und Gartenmöbel vorhanden. Das Haus bietet genug Schlaf- und Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten für bis zu 6 Personen, die Küche ist voll ausgestattet einschließlich Waschmaschine und Trockner. Alles war sauber, lediglich roch es etwas muffig. Die Lage an der Südküste ist auch günstig für Ausflüge über die ganze Insel. Im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt und Restaurants. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch den Vermieter war freundlich, zuverlässig und unkompliziert. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen auch bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf Madeira hier zu wohnen.

Geräumige und gut ausgestattete Wohnung mit schöner Aussicht

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub in der geräumigen und gut ausgestatteten Wohnung mit schöner Aussicht. Die Kommunikation war schnell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ende März war es abends, vor allem nachts und auch noch am Morgen leider oft relativ kühl, regnerisch und windig. Zum Glück gab es drei mobile Elektroheizungen, so dass es nicht ungemütlich wurde. Tagsüber wurde es meistens ganz schön, so dass wir immer etwas unternehmen konnten.

Haus mit super Ausblick

die Bilder enttäuschten nicht, dieses Haus hat einen wahnsinnig schönen Panoramablick auf Calheta und die nahe Umgebung. In wenigen Minuten ist man an der Strandpromenade (Einkaufen, Baden, Relaxen). Es gibt in naher Umgebung gute Restaurants und dank der gut ausgebauten Straßen ist man auch in kurzer Zeit in Paul do Mar/Arco und anderen Nachbarorten. Empfehlung: das MUDAS mit seinem schönen Ausblick plus Ausstellungsstücken. Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage.

Great house with an impressive view

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was as described and spacious. The facilities had everything needed. The location is incredibly great with an impressive view of the sea, the mountains and the valley next to the house. Some of the miradouros that were praised were not as worth seeing as the view from the balcony (overlooking the sunset). We used the garden, the two balconies and the pool extensively. The location of the house right on the hillside was great and the access to destinations in the west of Madeira and to the plateau was perfect. Supermarkets, beaches and levadas are in the immediate vicinity (car required - as everywhere in Madeira). We will gladly come back and can only recommend the house! Thanks for the hospitality.

Überwältigende Aussicht!

Wo waren rundum zufrieden. Der Ausblick und die Lage, hätten 6 Sterne verdient. Wir mussten zwar kurz mit dem Staubsauger durch, als wir angekommen sind. Aber das lag eher an unserer Pingeligkeit. Wir haben wunderschöne Tage in der Villa Mendes verbracht und würden jederzeit wieder diese Villa auswählen, falls wir nochmal nach Madeira kommen.

Weihnachten 2022

Wir haben das Ferienhaus so vorgefunden, wie es beschrieben war. Geräumig, sehr sauber und mit genügend Platz und sehr guter Küchenausstattung. Der Vermieter war sehr zuverlässig, die Übergabe unkompliziert und auch die Unterstützung bei der Mietwagenbuchung war sehr hilfreich. Wir würden bestimmt wiederkommen. Vielen Dank.
