To Best western customer service. Best western premier calgary plaza. My booking date Jan 17 to 18th. I didn't have a great check-in experience at your hotel this time. First, the staff told us that the reservation I booked is unavailable due to everything being booked and she offered me a different room but nothing else. We checked into the room and found out that room seemed downgraded. I contacted Expedia to understand why my booking wasn’t honored, Expedia advised us to go speak with the hotel since they said it was entirely up to the hotel, and they also told us what our rights are in this situation. I went back to the front desk and spoke with another staff and told them that we couldn't accept the room we were given because it seemed downgraded since the room, especially bathroom, was not as clean as the one we have stayed previously. After explaining my situation, she checked and was able to find the room I had originally booked and advised that there might've been a system error. If we didn't go and ask, the staff would have not been able to give help and we would've had a worse experience. We’re looking forward to a better experience on our next stay! We’d really appreciate it if this situation could be addressed seriously, and we’re hopeful for a much more enjoyable visit next time.

Overall property was well maintained, starting to look like it could use an update. Our room had a musty smell and the shower leaked however the pool area was clean. There was a very large transient population in the area. Overall though it was quiet and staff were friendly and helpful

It is an okay hotel but not more then 3 stars. I ordered room service, a simple coffee and toast but they didn't bother to put a knife, spoon or napkin with order. There was nothing in my room to stir my coffee, no spoons or stir- stick. I told the lady at front desk during check out and she just made an excuse and asked if i called down for knife and spoon. I did not because by the time they got up to my room, my toast and coffee would be cold. It is not hard to make sure you have a spoon and knife. There are many hotels in Calgary. This shows me, this hotel is not worry about guest returning when in Calgary. The hotel was not that busy.

Hotel has areas for improvement. We were originally put in a room that had connecting rooms, this was resolved. However, upon provided with a new room there small but noticeable areas requiring some improvement. The deadbolt lock would not lock, which was also resolved. The bathtub was showing its age with peeling paint. Also, the bar hand soap was never changed. Which makes us wonder what else may have been missed. Overall the hotel is okay for the price. I am grateful for their resolution. I feel like a lot of these issues encountered could have been mitigated through regular quality checks.

Great place check in was quick love the fact you need a card to access the elevator so it stops people from randomly walking up. The pool was small and even in the slow season was full of kids screaming so wasnt very enjoyable.
