Bad experience

This unit is located about a mile from combate beach that the town is mostly deserted until the weekend, and then fills with locals ready for a holiday with jet skis and boats. Some of the time we were the only ones in the building. We booked for 3 weeks and left at 16 days to stay elsewhere. The contact people had no information available ahead of time. No access info, no Wi-Fi info, no directions, no check out notes, and never checked in. I had to make contact with them 1st for all information. At arrival the unit is somewhat clean but very sparce in its stocking. After 24 hours, I wrote that the pots and pans were atrocious, there were no hand towels wash cloths or dish towels. Also the blender and coffee maker were broken. The ice maker was clogged with ice. We waited for 2 days with no response. Contacted them again and they sent someone over with all the requested items. They had reasons for all my complaints and did send things, but that was just a fraction of the complaints. We had to buy 2 beach chairs to sit at the pool, there were none available. there were 6 plastic drinking glasses. No cocktail or wine glasses, no serving bowls (we used a pot for our popcorn at night). The shower hot water pressure and temperature was so minimal you could barely shower. Not possible to bathe. I boiled water on the stove to add to the tub. The walls are filthy and had holes, the cabinet doors barely attached in kitchen and bathrooms. All in all, we felt as if they werent actually expecting anyone, and if someone accidentally booked it they were taking your money without thought of making your stay comfortable or updating the unit. The response I got was the owners health was bad, but I don't accept that as a reason I was charged full price for a unit that was in such bad shape. The agency(?) In charge promised that all the units were not in such bad shape but in talking to other guests, we heard the same story. We are vrbo hosts ourselves and I felt the standard of this unit should not be represented by vrbo. We will not be back.

Very accurate with the listed description. But it was not very clean when we checked in. It was not bad.... but I felt like the job done was poorly. Despite that it was very confortable and a really nice view.
