The staff member who welcomed my wife and I (we are in our 70s) by telling us “these type of bookings are a bad deal for us” meaning discounted rooms through HOTEL.com don’t leave them any profit considering they have to serve breakfast. None of this felt welcoming or comforting. We got to our rooms, after finding out that out of 2 elevators, only 1 worked. After settling in, I went back to the front desk and asked for drinking water for the toom, they said all they could give me was a cup, a single cup. The room itself was not clean; smelled bad; the toilet seat was dirty; the bed had a bug in it (which I had to kill) and the overall look of the room was nothing like the pictures advertised. We spent 1 night (out of 12 night we had reserved) and checked out the next day after having arrived. We requested a refund for the nights we did not stay, but HOTELS.com says they cannot get the hotel to approve a refund. This was an awful experience, please avoid this place if, unless you want to have a bad experience.
