We had to wait for our room, reception staff quite rude. No snacks at the bar/restaurant these had to be purchased in reception. Our evening meals were sent back as they arrived cold. We were given complimentary drinks to compensate. Breakfast was great a good selection of foods and drinks. Whilst we ate we listened to other guests talking about the hotels failings. It was such a shame as the hotel was in such beautiful surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Tiliana. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just brilliant, being able to sit outside, eat and drink outside in the gorgeous sunshine was just lovely. The bedroom was great and a very comfortable bed. The hotel was really clean everywhere as well. Can't say anything negative about the hotel or anyone. Thank you so much.

Rather dated

Check in was excellent, reception staff was competant and very friendly and welcoming, Unfortunately room right next to lift, if the hotel is not fully booked I would not put a guest in this room, very loud Rest of staff, especially restaurant staff, not attentive up to standing in your way. Buffet breakfast was sorry to say not good.

Great hotel for reasonable price

Depends where you will have your business meetings. It is on Buda side. The only problem might be with a taxi. You might wait for a long time for it.

I have been there couple times. Always 100% satisfied. The hotel is my only choice when coming to a city. Main reson is good access to highway and location near woods. Also fine for walk and jogging

Some of the staff were quite rude when we arrived, our flight was delayed and we arrived late. We were made to feel like we weren’t welcome. Also the hotel is a lot further from the city not what we were led to believe. We had booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1. We moved to another hotel. I can’t complain about the hotel it was clean and the breakfast was very good.

Family trip

We stayed 11 nights family trip (9) lovely hotel , excellent food from restaurant . Missing a bar you could sit in after dinner . Ok if it’s warm you can sit on Terrace . Restaurant staff friendly and attentive . Sometimes the rooms were not cleaned or they forgot to put in towels or toilet rolls . Always had to ask for coffee pods & milks . Overall a nice place, public transport a few minutes away excellent .

Beautiful Tucked Away Hotel

Gorgeous hotel. Just opened and off-season so staffing was minimal. I had some trouble with TV half way through my stay that was never sorted out. Grounds outside were not yet renovated, but being winter it didn't matter for my stay. Travelers should be aware that this hotel is a good distance away from downtown and tucked away on a small side street. If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet getaway this is PERFECT. If you're looking to take in all the sites and tourist attractions of Budapest, this probably isn't the best place to stay. PS - The breakfast buffet is terrific and the bar is the only place in Budapest I could find that could make a great cocktail!

It is a lovely place with forest like resort feel in a quiet place. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are vert friendly and service oriented. The location can be a problem if you wish to stay in the middle of the city. You have to use public transport to go around or have your own transport. In the night, you have no choice but have food in the restaurant in the hotel as nothing is around.

Stayed for 4 nights at this very new hotel. The hotel itself is very well designed and very modern in appearance and the staff are all very attentive and polite however I feel it is let down by several points. The hotel is very isolated. It is about a 15 min bus ride to get to the nearest shop to buy anything to eat, the hotel restaurant menu is very limited and very expensive so think that the hotel is missing a trick by not having a small shop selling the basics. The hotel restaurant also does not do room service. The Expedia site for this hotel lists that the hotel has a coffee shop which is untrue, they have a coffee machine in the restaurant. The restaurant also seems to lack a children’s menu, I asked several members of the restaurant staff and got different answers from all, one said they had a menu but not here, one said that they did not have a menu but could make anything. What good is that when you have no idea how much you would pay and the normal menu is in no way suitable for children. If you stay in a standard room your view is likely to be overlooking a tower block of soviet era flats. Not all rooms seem to be finished to the same standard, my bathroom had no towel rail however the next room along had one installed. The hotel also suffers from having absolutely nothing to do in the cold season. No type of entertainment was available and all the leisure facilities were unavailable due to snow. Overall this hotel is best if you are a business customer
