This hotel is a mixed bag. On the plus side, you have the great location, the friendliness of the owner if you are greeted by him, the more than decent included breakfast, and above all that the incredible pseudo-Sevillan decoration, the history of which I'm sure the owner would be happy to tell you if you ask. On the minus side : the rooms would need some careful renovation, the bathroom was old and clearly needs an upgrade, the hotel is quite noisy (you can hear your neighbours or people passing by your door quite easily. A nice experience, but not one I would do again, time will tell. Your mileage may vary, it really depends on what you're looking for.
Located right into the centre within walking distance of everywhere.
The rooms are a little small and could benefit from blinds or black-out curtains, but I'd definitely stay there again.
convenient location but alas the room was far too small - non-existent ventilation in the bathroom - thus black mold on the walls - friendly staff - didnt try the breakfast
Simple, clean comfy accommodation with enjoyable breakfast.
Great helpful staff.
Very eclectic but so much fun!
Great location too.
Quad room was good, clean towels everyday
It is a cozy hotel just some steps to the grand Place, the first impression of the hotel was amazing, but when you arrive to the room, everything change, very awfull, unconfortable, it has a balcony, but it’s bloked with the bed, poorly can walk, no outlet to charge the phones, tv out of service, very dark with poor light, too noisy during the night.

Nope nope never again
Seriously ,no kettle for a coffee,no working TV,no phone ,, terrible breakfast ,a glass of orange juice already on the table uncovered ,half a baguette,1 croissant and a cup of coffee and thats your lot out of 4 days only tried it once. ,and btw see the photos no way was I plugging the TV in and I there wasn't even a remote
I loved our stay and will definitely come back and stay here again. Very close to the central station and just a few minutes walk is the grand place and mannequin pis. The staff are very friendly and the owner was so nice and accommodating. Besides the interior of the building are so amazing
If you’re someone that likes quirky hotels with a lot of character and personality ,then this is the hotel for you! You could spend half day looking at all the antiques and pictures! The staff were simple marvelous and welcoming ! This location is great! It’s about 8min walk to Brussels central train station and just about everything from food to shopping to the sites are right outside your door! I 100percent stay there again

don't miss
I was overwhelmed with the friendly charm of this extraordinary hotel. Astonishing value for money. So different from the soul-less concrete and glass boxes that normally await the travellers. The idiosyncratic, tasteful decoration is a treat for the eyes. Ben has an air of calm good humour that makes even the weariest arrival feel at home.
Overall the service and location was excellent. You won’t find a better location in Brussels. It is an old building though, given where it is located. Main issue I had was that there was a strong sewer gas smell in my room. The staff were so nice that I found it difficult to bring this up. This might be an issue for the old part of Brussels generally though, as I often smelled it around the streets in the area.
Very unique hotel in historical part of Brussels! Walking to many restaurants and historical sites!Being a historical area, parking is a thing to plan out, once you do,is a 5 min walk
