Very charming, renovated quiet house of character, relaxation, change of scene

Very nice, calm, charming, comfortable and completely renovated country house : 4 rooms (a very nice kitchen nice living room with 2 old "fours a pain" kept for decoration, 2 very nice bedrooms upstairs (one king size bed and 2 twin single beds and 1 canapé-lit bed ( 1 baby bed), and very pretty bathrom), 1 stone stairase (1 floor), 5 persons available but the best is to be 4 pers. The house is located on the border of a charming and old village and has a very big and beautiful private garden with old stone walls all around, a large terrase with view on the garden village, outside furniture, barecue, ping pong and other games (pétanque...). Football yard and tennis court both very very close. Many other possibilities of beautiful tourism and practice of sports as golf (near the city of LAVAL), poneys (near), baths (small bathing lakes with pedalos near too) or nice country side walks all around. Positive improvements

Unfortunately very wet so needed places to visit. Bree restaurant closed for two weeks no bakery or any information on close shops restaurants or any sign of life . Normally visit Normandy and Brittany and have a very good experience. The location is remote so need a car and good weather. The dish washer did not work or have instructions in English if it did . Lovely gardens and plenty of children's activity games just needed good weather which I understand is out of the clients control. hope the comments are helpful.

Lovely stay in Bree village

The gite and garden is delightful and full of character.It was easy to find and a short distance from the motorway . We stayed for 4 nights .We were greeted by Edith who was very friendly and helpful . The gite is well equipped with comfortable bed . There are lots of lovely places to visit in the area . The only thing missing for us was a shower .There is a bath with a hand held spray but as there is no shower curtain and you cannot stand up because of the sloped roof it cannot be considered a shower . I would however book this house again as it was a lovely peaceful stay .

Nous avons pu passer une bonne semaine au calme et pu visiter les attractions aux alentours. La maison est spacieuse et bien aménagée, la cuisine est bien équipée, le renouvellement de certaines casseroles ou ustensiles serait la bienvenue. Les murs épais nous ont gardés au frais la journée pendant les jours de fortes chaleurs. Attention à la tête sous les toits, il ne faut pas être trop grand.

Week end sportif en Mayenne

Nous avons passé un grand week end dans ce ravissant gite restauré avec goût par Madame Henrion, très gentille propriétaire que nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer. Nous avons été accueillis par Madame Amaouz qui s'occupe de l’intendance et qui est fort agréable. La maison est parfaitement équipée , tout est conforme aux descriptions de l’annonce , l'environnement est calme . Nous avons découvert les alentours dans le cadre de notre participation à une randonnée vélo et les paysages sont très beaux .

Très bon séjour

C’était un vrai plaisir de passer cette semaine de Noël dans ce cocon en pleine Mayenne. Les chambres étaient très agréables, le petit lit de bébé en bois était charmant. L’accueil était aussi très agréable - nous nous sommes senties comme chez nous. Merci encore pour ce séjour.

Odile nous a été très agréable à notre arrivée et notre départ et serviable pendant notre semaine : une personne charmante et très impliquée. Quelques désagréments néanmoins pendant notre séjour concernant des problèmes électriques : une bouilloire faisait disjoncter le compteur et de nombreux tapis et moquettes non fixés peuvent provoquer des chutes ... Aucun commerce de proximité à pied mais en voiture 15 mn environ du centre commercial d'Evron et à 30/40 mn des sites à visiter.

Most relaxing holiday ever!

We stayed here for a week and I must say everything was perfect. The village is very quiet and you will need a car to drive 3-5 minutes to the 3 bakeries and supermarket in the next village, but we loved how quiet it was around us. We had breakfast on the outside terrace and then usually played a round of table tennis afterwards. During breakfast we made plans to visit the surrounding villages/towns which were between a 15-40 minute drive. There is a lot of information on what to do provided by the hosts and we especially liked the villages of Sainte-Suzanne et Chammes (went there twice) and Lassay-les-Châteaux. We also visited the towns of Mayenne, Laval and Evron. There are a few pools in the area where you can go for a swim. Keep in mind that most of them open after 14:00 hrs. As for the kitchen being a Chef, I feel that there is more than enough 'space' and utensils to prepare meals. And there is also a BBQ outside on the patio which you can use. We slept well even though it was quite warm outside. Just make sure you open the windows to ventilate. Loved the bathroom and even took a bath with outside temperatures of 28C! Do keep in mind that this is a typical stone house which adds to the charm of being in France and keeps the inside at a nice temperature when it's hot outside. Internet was fast so all 3 of us could use it at the same time. I would definitely come back again as I think that my stay exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the hosts for the most relaxing holiday ever!

Bienvenue dans un lieu magnifique

Un lieu merveilleux en plein cœur de la Mayenne. Le site est magnifique meublé avec goût et très bien équipé. Nous avons passé un moment très agréable proche de chez nous. Comme quoi il ne faut pas aller loin pour passer un bon moment et oublier les soucis du quotidien. La propriétaire est charmante et à l écoute de nos demandes. Merci encore à son amie qui nous a aussi très bien accueillie. Nous pensons sérieusement à y retourner lorsque nous aurons un peu de temps.

Merveilleux séjour

Le gîte est superbe et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. La propriétaire du gîte est très sympathique et accueillante. La région regorge de beaux endroits a découvrir. Je recommande vivement ce gîte. Tout est beau et agréable pour un séjour reposant et ressourçant.

Pause au vert

Durant ce court séjour, nous avons pu apprécier ce gîte situé au coeur d'une propriété à l'environnement calme et très paysagé. Nous avons pu profiter du jardin et de la terrasse en échangeant quelques balles de tennis de table sous les rayons de soleil mayennais.

Excellent séjour en Mayenne

Avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Brée. La maison est charmante, coquette et bien située pour rayonner en Mayenne, Sarthe et Orne. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Odile et la propriétaire. Le vergers est très agréable et propice à la contemplation en compagnie de l’écureuil et des oiseaux.

Fijne huisje in heel stil dorp, ideaal wanneer je rust zoekt.

De woning is een heel fijne plek voor een weekje vakantie en heeft een grote tuin met een tafeltennistafel. De bedden op de kinderkamer met het leuke bloemenbehang waren niet fijn (veel te zachte matrasssen, last van rug!), op de ouderslaapkamer fijne bedden. Nadeel van dit huis is dat de toilet boven is. Keuken is heel eenvoudig, geen mogelijkheden om uitgebreid te koken. Leuke stadjes in de omgeving met bezienswaardigheden (Mayenne, Jublain, St Suzanne (prachtig!)).
