The hotel is excellently located and has excellent parking, albeit at extra cost unless you book directly with the hotel. One of the reception staff was a little curt, one pleasant but the former was not unpleasant or rude. The room I had was very dowdy and in need of decorating. It was however very clean with an excellent TV and a fairly generous supply of tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the linen was fresh. Best of all the shower, although a mixer type running from the taps, was so good and it was easy to get the balance right. I have had much worse showers in more much more expensive establishments. A rubber anti slip mat was supplied and, again, the towels were clean and the toilet and sink were old but clean. Please don’t let my comments about the old style and worn appearance of the room put you off. It has a pool, bar and would cater for your needs very well. I have stayed here before and will not hesitate to book again if I need an inexpensive room in the area.

Room was a nice size as had booked an executive room. Unfortunately in process of refurb so on arrival the builders were sanding on the next floor which was very loud. Air conditioning in bathroom and refrigerator were both very loud, switched fridge off but unfortunately couldn’t do that with air conditioning. Central heating turned on in the afternoon and about 5 in the morning with a whooshing noise. Informed staff and was told they knew about it. No dining room in the evenings which we did know when we booked, which was a shame. Used swimming pool which needs a bit of tlc. Staff were nice. We have stayed here before and hope that once all the refurb has been done this hotel will be up to scratch.

Our room on the second floor had a seaview, but we also overlooked a noisy road so it wasn't the most pleasant experience. Bedding was clean, but the beds themselves were quite heavily stained and should take pride of place on top of the bonfire! Mattress was a little too firm for our liking. The room seemed freshly painted, but the furniture looked a little tired. A nice bedside lamp, yet no socket to plug it into - in fact, there were no sockets by the bed. Nor was there a socket for the kettle where the tea/coffee facilities were placed. We had to move the kettle near a plug. The light switches to the main room and bathroom were by the front door. Bizarre! Although we were only there for two nights and not really bothered about our room being serviced, the maid knocked one afternoon at 3.15pm, just as we'd got back from town. We didn't use the restaurant or pool, so can't comment. Staff seemed pleasant although some lacked a smile! To sum up, I was happy with what I got for what I'd paid. Be aware that although there is a decent car park, they charge £12 per night! Yet another way to squeeze money out of the paying guests.

Comfortable stay

Good location from town centre Room was big, but tired. The room and some of the communal areas could do with painting. Bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom was clean, but could do with a little more cleaning around the skirting boards. I was a little worried about the hotel after reading some of the reviews, but it was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Especially Sam

You get what you pay for. I needed somewhere to stay at short notice. Room was a little dusty and they really need a new shower in the room i stayed. I was scared to use it. It was so old. Rally loud music at 3:30am seemed to wake everyone up.

Affordable hotel in the centre, easy to walk around the city or beach to hotel. 24/7 entrance facility, bars and clubs are very close to the hotel. Just walk 7-10 mins and you will see the beautiful bournemouth beach.

The hotel room was reasonably clean and spacious, although I was only one person in a double. I was really disappointed to find that the pool only opened at 9am. I wanted to be able to swim before breakfast, like you can in every other hotel I've ever stayed in with a pool. In the end this meant I didn't get to use the pool so feel that it was a waste of money booking this hotel. Although, the location was excellent for the conference I was at. The shower was difficult to use due to the angle and proximity to the tap end, but the water nicely hot. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the lift was out of order on the Friday and the Sunday of a weekend stay, which were my check in and check out days.
