I have only given this property a 3 because the sound from the people upstairs is really a problem. The apartment itself was just as listed and clean. The check in and check out was fine and the host was responsive. But don't expect to sleep unless and until the upstairs neighbors are asleep. I saw the reviews that talked about them being loud, and that usually doesn't bother us. Sounds from adjoining units is normal. But I should have given those comments more attention. To be clear, the upstairs neighbors aren't "loud," they aren't yelling or stomping or playing loud music. They are just going about their normal lives. But the floor/ceiling between the units does absolutely nothing to deaden the sound, it is like they are right in the same room with you. At 4 in the morning, it actually feels louder than if they are right in the room with you. I don't know if there is anything the host could reasonable do about it, and I am not saying it is the host's fault, but you rent a place like this because you need somewhere to sleep, and on the second of our two nights there was almost no sleep because of the noise from upstairs. So, if you are a light sleeper, or have early mornings for whatever you are in town for, consider this factor more carefully than I did.
