The hostel was a good experience overall. It was very clean in the rooms and in the kitchen area. I would recommend Hostel Boston to anybody looking for a clean simple stay. The staff made a great effort to clean the bathrooms and maintain the hostel. The kitchen area was handy in the sense that one can make a meal or sit down to eat. Definitely looking to go back for longer stay when I return to Boston again.

We’re in our 40’s… so we got a private room with its own bathroom. It was much more affordable than anything else in the area. The room was SMALL but just what we needed for two nights where we’d mostly be out of the room exploring the area. It was clean, safe, and felt friendly.

Overall pretty good. Blanket was way too thin for winter in Boston! I had to take the top bunk’s (empty bed)! The area is nice and Boston is very safe, esp downtown. I’d come back for sure.

Staff was very nice and helpful.The hostel was very clean and beautiful. The hostel is surrounded by eateries and there’s also a cvs and 7-11 nearby. There’s also a train station a few minutes away and a bus stop.

The property is in a phenomenal area of Boston. It’s very close to the Commons, China Town, the Theatre District, and is within walking distance (1-2 mile radius) of most major tourist attractions in the downtown area. My wife and I got a private room for one night, it was super barebones, but a very affordable price. The subway theme sort of makes the hostel feel like it was built out of an old parking deck, but overall it wasn’t too bad. Would recommend if you’re looking for cheap accessibility, would not if you’re looking for a high-comfort or romantic room (though a hostel probably shouldn’t be your first pick for that anyway).

The room was clean and allotted enough space for the 4 of us. The staff were very helpful and I hung out in the lobby after check out and they had an organized space to hold my luggage. What I absolutely disdained was the layout and the areas of the exits and stairwells. The color on the floors made it feel like a prison. I have this feedback and the staff indicated that this was something others presented as a concern they were working V in. The walls were gray and the spaces were not adequately labeled. It gave a since of gloominess and not a cheerful ambiance because of the all gray walls and feeling you could get stuck in the stairwells if you opted to not take the elevators. Very near the Amtrak and everything was walkable.
