Overall the hotel is nice and adds a touch of history to your Boston experience. We enjoyed the hotel. Unfortunately there were other issues that compromised our ability to enjoy our time. First, the shower curtain in our suite was to short and as a result water dripped all over the floor. We had to engineer a way to deal with this as we received no help from the hotel management. Second, on more than one occasion we asked for more towels and and a shower mat but never received them. We had to ask the housekeeping staff directly to get additional towels to deal with the water on the floor in the restroom. Third, and very unfortunate the hotel sits right in the center of the entertainment district and immediately the left of the hotel is a night club. Loud thumping dance music could be felt till late into the evening and didn't stop till around 3 AM the following morning. This happened only on Friday and Saturday night. As for dining we were able to find several choices about two blocks away near the Boston Commons. There is also some sports bars just a block away.

Great central location. Close to food and just steps from the Freedom Trail. It is in the city, so the sirens and fire trucks were a little loud at night. The room we had was a little small, but plenty for 2 people.

Arrived sunday. No Valet or bell boy's to help with our luggage. No bar area or restaurant open on Sunday afternoon. No room srvice or in house dry cleaning. No newspapers left at your door in the morning. No safety bars in the shower. I'm 75, handicapped, a veteran and senior. I'll never stay at this property again.
