This is my second time at the Citizen M in Back Bay, clean, quiet, organized, the metro is across the street, plenty of restaurants and shops around the property, very convenient but the WiFi is a bit week, otherwise wonderful.

Place has great staff, clean, excellent breakfast and service, and areas for coworking full of youth! Room are very very very small! The concept if fun and different. But uncomfortable! The room is of the width of the bed. Only way to get on to is by front side.

Places with bigger rooms: Tokyo micro hotels, dorms, Carnival interior rooms. Places with more room amenities: Literally anywhere. Places that I could have stayed at in the same area with higher ratings and similar prices: Quite a few I’ve noticed, and will be staying with one of them next time. Who in the world thought of this concept of having the tiniest room possible, controlled entirely by an iPad (which is really fun when you have to use the bathroom at 3AM), the one single amenity in your room being a box of tissues, and having the most ridiculous shower setup I’ve ever seen? How is this place a chain?! Numerous people in the elevator asked me if my room was also ridiculously tiny, I just don’t get how this hotel is popular or has any business charging Delta prices and giving Spirit service.

This hotel was pretty basic for the cost. The city view was great. But the mattress wasn’t comfortable. The room was tiny and the bathroom was even smaller. The lobby would have been a cool place to hang out had it not been packed with students. It didn’t leave much room for paying guests to lounge. It was clean, I’ll give it that. But that’s a pretty bare minimum expectation. I expected way more from a 4 star hotel.
