Stayed here with family for an event. Will stay here anytime I am back in Bonn. Great neighborhood with lots of dining and shopping options. The greek restaurant across the street is fantastic and it is wonderful to spent the evening in their back garden under the grapes. The nearby botanical garden is a place of peace and wonder and the walk to the university is leads you through Bonn’s most charming neighborhoods. If you don’t want to walk there is also a very frequent bus. Can’t say enough about just how gemütlich the hotel is. The common spaces and very generous - great to hang out in for some downtime or conversation, room feels safe and clean and little balcony is great. Staff was welcoming and herzlich.
So may inviting common spaces! This is the breakfast room/lounge. The lobby with terrace and the game room are also nice places to be.

Hot water was an issue for several days. We waited for a long time for hot water. Even when it was hot it was unsteady, at times turning cold. the breakfast was nice but the breakfast seating was eclectic and uncomfortable. The staff was nice and helpful but there was never housekeeping... we had the same (1) towel all week. The bed was okay... most of the pillows were small decorative pillows and not comfortable. To be fair... there was a second pillow in the closet which I eventually found. The location was really good. i like Popplesdorf.

Best for quiet stays

If you wish to have a quiet place to spend the night, then Tante ALMA is the hotel for you. It also has a small balcony where you can hang out.

Had a good experience at this hotel. We only stayed for a few days, but found it to be clean, quiet, and conveniently located. The breakfast was good, staff were very friendly, and location was convenient to lots of restaurants. My fiancee and I did not appreciate that the bed only had two small blankets instead of one large one, but I think this may be a European thing? (We are American). Overall, a good value for the price.

Very good hotel, a bit far from the city centre

This is a very good hotel that is modern, very clean and organised. Staff were very helpful. The only thing I would complain about is internet access: only 30 minutes for free each day, provided you have a mobile phone for SMS verification (!). Breakfast was good, especially the hot drinks from an espresso-like machine, although the variety of food could be improved (e.g. add some sweet pastries).
