Lovely hotel on the harbour in Bonifacio. Swimming pool was very nice, rooms were modern and location was excellent. We were warned about the noise of the nightclub, and it really wasn’t too bad, all part of the experience.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Everything was perfect. Very warm welcome from staff where nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location, safe parking for motorbike. Lovely quiet,clean modern room with balcony view of marina. Excellent shower and comfy bed. We were sad to leave.

I had a brilliant stay at Solemare. It's in a superb position facing the marina, nearly all rooms seem to have a balcony and lovely view. I was on foot, but there seemed to be plenty of secure parking in an adjoining car park. There is also a swimming pool which felt pleasantly warm even in May. I didn't try the dining room, but enjoyed a drink and snack in the waterfront lounge and bar, managed by the efficient and charming Aurelien. It had a great view and even rugs thoughtfully provided against a cool breeze off the water! I'm surprised Solemare is only rated 3 stars!

We spent a night in this hotel and a full day walking around the city. We were lucky to get a corner room on the top floor with a magnificent view of the Bonifacio. The room has a sleeping room, a living room, and a spacious bathroom - much larger than I am used to when traveling in France. It was quiet and comfortable. The staff spoke English and was very helpful. PArking was free. From the hotel, it is trivial, to walk to the hiking area around the city and to the city itself. I would highly recommend staying there rather than trying to stay in the city itself. I would definitively stay there again.

I had originally planned a shorter stay but after my first night I decided to extend. The hotel staff was accommodating in finding an option to make that possible and in general was wonderful at helping with any request I had. They also were so friendly and helped me practice my French graciously! The room I had was a suite - and surprised me with how cool the decor was (like a modern Moroccan almost), large sitting area, stunning bathroom. The bed was comfortable with good pillows and duvet. A kettle/coffee service in the room, a desk though expected for most North Americans is not always available in European hotels - but it was in this one. I used the heated pool in October which I also very much appreciated, including it’s loungers and its view to the harbour. Parking was easy once I knew where it was. Finally, the location was easy to get to many parts of the town - ie restaurants, grocery stores, the harbour, touristic options like the train to old town and boat tours, as well as easy to get in and out of town. Do note though that it is located specifically on the harbour and not above on the cliff/old town so you would need to climb up. As I was exploring the whole area - beaches, trails, other towns in addition to old Bonifacio this was not at all a problem. Overall a great experience!

Great hotel in central location of Bonifacio marina, close to the busy working marina and historical old town. The hotel has great facilities, nice pool area. Hotel staff are all very friendly, definitely will come back again.

The Solemare was a perfect location for our stay in Bonifacio. It is close to the local dining, a short drive to the Beach La Petite Sparone. A short walk to the Citadel and walking along the cliffs to take in the scenery. The staff IS great, especially the mixologist in the Hotel Bar, Nino IS amazing! Truly everyone at the Hotel is GREAT! I'm looking forward to coming back to Bonifacio and staying at the Hotel Solemare! Thank you ALL

Probably the best harbourside hotel.

Everything about the Solemare made the stay in Bonifacio very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room assigned had a sea/harbour view which on waking made for a good start to the day. The pool was real good at a perfect temperature.

Wonderful location overlooking the marina

Loved our one-night stay in this modern hotel right in the marina with views of the old town. Our room was clean, very comfortable and had a small balcony where we could relax & enjoy watching the activity on the boats. Perfect for exploring the city whilst slightly away from the crowds. Lovely pool, & although we didn’t have time to use it the bar looked very attractive, great decor & overlooking the water.

Tolle Aussicht Richtung Hafen. Die lage ist super. HInter dem Hotel gibts genügend hoteleigene Parkplätze. Leider ist die Bar gegenüber bis spätabends sehr laut und beschallt die ganze Hafengegend. So ist an ein Schlafen bei offenem Fenster nicht zu denken. Da kann das Hotel kaum etwas dafür. Besser werden können sie aber beim Frühstück. Das Frühstücksbuffett versetzt einem in die Corona-Zeit zurück. Hinter einer hohen Plexi-Abdeckung schöpft eine Mitarbeiterin vom Buffett. Da fühle ich mich am Morgen nicht wirklich willkommen und gut aufgehoben.

Une première nuit excellente, mais une seconde nuit qui a commencé apres 1H30 du matin, quand le DJ du bar d'en face a éteint la musique. On a cru qu'il avait mis son caisson de basse sur notre balcon.
