Reasonable stay but missing a few things

The hotel is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and the rooms were large and airy. It would be a great hotel were it not for a few thing. Firstly, the hard floors in the room just make noise travel downstairs. We were woken up on both nights by the room above walking around after midnight. Carpeting or rugs would be better. The hotel is advertised as having parking but it doesn't, there's paying on street parking or you have to take your chances in side streets. Very disappointed by this. The reception hours are very limited, seems 8am till 6pm on weekdays and nobody was there are at 8.45am on Saturday morning. This is pretty poor if you have a basic query. Finally, the towels were tatty with holes in and the lighting of the bathroom was dark and hard to work out. Could be a great hotel, just needs some tweaks and more thought given to things.

Comfortable, spacious, and calm

It's a gorgeous little hotel, in a very quiet area but with a bar just metres down the road and a parade of cute little shops nearby. The local station which can take you to Haarlem or Amsterdam is easy walking distance too. The room was very spacious with a kitchenette including sink, microwave, coffee pod machine, and kettle; wine glasses, and mugs. Bathroom was lovely with giant bath, rainfall shower, large sink. And the beds were very comfortable. There didn't seem to be any temperature controls in the room but it was the perfect temperature for us anyway. The whole hotel is very stylish and the staff we talked to were lovely. Only negatives: Noise travelled quite easily from the corridor (we were woken up by other travellers). The bathroom door handle was difficult to grip (annoying as it was a sliding door). And soap and shampoo was provided but no conditioner (this is the bane of my travelling life). Note that bike rental is not free ;)

Our second time at Bleecker. Just as great as the last time. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Bike rentals are just great there. They really try to make everything easy for your stay.

It was a great hotel with excellent staff in a residential neighborhood, west of Haarlem. I think it's a perfect place for a quiet getaway or visiting friends and relatives. The location is probably not perfect for a tourist visit to Haarlem center - but I want to mention again that the staff was wonderful and accommodating.

Location of the hotel is good. Close to the dunes/beach and close to Haarlem as well. The business suite is excellent for 1 adult and 2 kids as well!

Comfortable hotel. WiFi needs to be fixed

Unfortunately the WiFi wasn't working properly. It's an unprotected connection with certificate problems. My browsers were giving security warnings about this connection constantly and I couldn't get some work done. Comfortable beds though. Very clean. Friendly staff and possibility to check in via a night clerk

A wonderful experience worth repeating

While I live in Texas, I am from, and my family still lives in the western part of Harlem. Therefore, hotels in Bloemendaal are the closest and most convenient available. While Hotel Bleecker has been open for a few years, this was my first trip to the area that offered me the opportunity to check out the accommodations. My experience was excellent in every aspect. The hotel is small for which I have a personal preference over the 500-room "tower flats". This is not good or bad overall, but was good for me. The room was fairly large and had a sizable desktop, which accommodated my working hours there. The beds were comfortable, the shower was roomy and modern, and the overall hotel space was very clean. The staff were helpful with all common and special requests I made of them. Overall a wonderful experience. For my next trip to the area I will stay there again, and I can solidly recommend it to anyone who is planning to stay in the area for business or for pleasure. John

Great place to stay with easy access to Amsterdam

Very comfortable and pleasant accommodation, lovely breakfast, good welcome and helpful staff. We enjoyed staying here for 4 nights and will happily use this hotel again. It is conveniently located just a few miles from the Newcastle ferry terminal at Ijmuiden, and offers easy access to Haarlem and Amsterdam by road or rail. The beach at Bloemendaal aan Zee is just 3 or 4 kilometers away by road across the dunes.

Great place outside Amsterdam

Bleecker is a beautiful hotel in a quaint and friendly suburb of Amsterdam. The facilities are immaculately clean, the owners are incredibly friendly, and it's very close to transportation. Parks, pubs, restaurants, and grocery are close. Most of all, it's very affordable. If you're looking for a lovely hotel close to Amsterdam (and other cities) without the city rush, Bleecker is ideal. Highly recommended.

Hotel not located in Haarlem as advertised.

This hotel is a 30-euro taxi ride from the Haarlem station, in another town, not in Haarlem, minutes from the station, as advertised. On a one-block business street with one restaurant. the hotel is only partially furnished and with construction going on. staff unclear on the concept of the needs of clients.
