It was an unusual hotel, very old fashioned and exactly what we needed

Not a normal Gernam experience

This hotel was literally out in the woods since it was Sunday both restaurant hotels were closed. No suggestions from staff. We saw no restaurants nearby as we left the next morning. The carpeting in our room as well as the breakfast room was very stained. Staff didn’t seem to care when we talked to them about the carpet. Also the sauna was not open for our use. Overall I would stay elsewhere

Situated in the forest with lots of trees and trails. Special mention for the number of small getaway areas on the property. Indoor pool and saunas are great. 2 km walk to downtown

Great restaurant, howeverrr there is not much to do at the property. There are numerous hiking trails in the vicinity, one is right out the front door of the property. Definitely worth the money to go for the deluxe rooms, spacious.

Pleasant stay.

The hotel is very pleasant and the restaurant is good but closed on Sunday evenings. WiFi is great but as the hotel is out if town and isolated in the woods, cellular reception is bad. Most of the staff speaks English. There is sufficient parking, which is free.

Excellent Hotel!

I had an excellent stay at the Hotel Rabenhorst in Homburg/Saar. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant had a marvelous selection of meals. The service was friendly and helpful. I am planning on staying there again during my next trip to the area.

WARNING AVOID

I want to warn and discourage people from booking this hotel. Especially for international travelers who do not come from Germany. I booked a week's business trip. After three days, I found myself without a reason, arbitrarily sudden checked out from the hotel. They blamed on that the hotel was over booked. There was no customer service or professionalism when they treated my complain. The reception speaks poor English and do not care for their guests best. It is risky business to choose Wohlfühlhotel Rabenhorst. Avoid! - Fresh breakfast -The hotel is situated in the forest outside the town. The area offer nice paths for jogging or walking.

pretty hotel in woodland

This is a modernised traditional building - welcoming and well appointed but not very practical for guests with any disability. There are some rooms on the ground floor but there is no lift so my room had to be changed because I could not get up to the first floor and the modern open plan staircase is treacherous for the non able bodied.

Hotel in the Woods

Nice place which was a stopover on our route down to Slovenia. There was a Rotary Club gathering on at the hotel while we were there , which was a trifle boisterous. Possibly due to this parking for a large vehicle was a mite tricky.

A lovely place in the forest, ideal for walking

Great place in the middle of a Forest. Very clean hotel. Apparently rooms in the actual hotel are not as modern as in the newly build facility. They are a bit on the small side, but very nice. Modern TV. Absolutely free fast wifi.

Spa in the forest

Super spa hotel located in the outskirts of a forest. It has a good garden and plenty of nooks and crannies to find a peaceful place to sit or lounge to relax. It has been completely and very successful renovated. The interior is modern and very comfortable. There are complimentary bowls of fruit and sweets everywhere you look! The Wellness suite with a pool and 3 saunas is compact but beautifully fitted out. The staff are exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of thoughtful touches e.g. a blender and ingredients for making smoothies and the boiled eggs had happy faces drawn on them! There are 2 restaurants popular with locals and a cosy modern bar in the hotel. You need to be prepared to walk at least half a mile for other eating establishments, there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants in the town of Homburg itself. We would definitely like to come here again.

Hidden gem

Nice hotel with many amenities, location is nestled in the woods on the edge of town. We only had an overnight stay, and did not have time to enjoy all this hotel has to offer. Room was large, restaurant served a tasty meal, and breakfast was very traditional with good selection.
