Having booked a room for two adults, it was rather embarrassing as a same sex couple to be asked at check in if we had booked two rooms. We interacted with staff on 3 occasions, check in, check out and a query re the gym. Each time I was treated as with indifference. The room was ok, rather on the small side for the price point in Berlin as a superior booking. I did not think the photo in room of a topless woman surrounded by suited men was appropriate.

A Wonderful Berlin Hotel

Can't beat the location; on the Ku'damm and close to the U-bahn, with excellent dining and shopping options all around. The first word that comes to mind when thinking about Hotel Zoo Berlin is "swanky." The hotel is modern; the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The hotel entrance and lobby are lovely and welcoming. A perfect place to land after a long day of being out and about in Berlin!

The hotel’s location is perfect, with spacious and beautifully designed rooms full of character. The entire hotel is decorated with a unique and charming style. It was a lovely hotel. The area is amazing. Touristy enough but calm. If you want to be where all the tourist attractions are, do not stay here. But if you want to see more German people and still be close to tourist things and be in a nice area, definitely recommend. The room was pretty big with a comfortable bed. The tv was not a smart tv and the Roku didn’t fit so it was annoying at night. The service was not great, asked for a few things multiple times before getting done and the lobby people were not very keen on helping. But it wasn’t bad. Overall a good stay, I would probably stay there again.

i have to complain about a unfair check-in treatment to us. I booked two superior rooms for our two couples. When we arrived around 2 pm for check-in, there were two ladies at the front desk. The taller lady said there is only one room available and we have to come back later to check in for the second room. I agreed to check in the first room. But when we entered the room, we found out the room has two separate twin beds. We called the front desk and asked to change to a queen bed room. The front desk said we can switch to the next door room that has a queen bed, and told us to stay there and they will deliver the room key to us. But a few minutes later, two white male customers came and said they just checked in and got this room. We were confused about that they were behind us in the check-in queue and how come they got the room. We asked the front desk lady and she did not give us any explanation and told us there is no room available. Later another front desk lady somehow found a second room for us. I and my wife still stayed in the two separate twin beds during our entire vacation in Berlin.
