The house has a history dating all the way back to 1850, but has been renovated in recent times to a luxurious standard.
The place is perfect for those who want to explore Bergen and at the same time have a comfortable and quiet place to retreat to.
You now have the chance to experience one of Bergen's most unique apartment!
The Space:
In a quiet "pedestrian street" only 300 meters from Bryggen you will find the historical house. No cars in the street, only charming neighborhood cafes, local businesses and the wonderful Bergen life!
The apartment:
1st floor:
Entrance - Living room - Kitchen - Dining area - Terrace
(Note that the second bed room is accessed through the bathroom)
2nd floor:
Master bedroom - Extra bed room - Bathroom
In recent years, the apartment has been renovated to a state-of-the-art standard with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay - plus some more!

The Neighborhood:
In Nordre Steinkjellersmauet you really get to experience authentic Bergen life. The streets are characterized by narrow lanes, cobblestone streets, traditional Bergen houses and charming neighborhood cafes and small shops.
When you stroll down the street, it's almost like being in a little wonderland. All of Bergen's bars and restaurants are of course just a stroll away. For your morning coffee, we recommend visiting "Bergen Kaffebrenneri" just down the street.
Should you wish to take the trip on the city mountain "Fløyen", the trip has already started the moment you walk out the door. Alternatively, you can take the "Fløibanen" which goes all the way to the top from only 250 meters from the house.
Getting Around:
In Nordre Steinkjellersmauet, the day starts in the heart of the city and it is therefore quick and easy to get around the city by foot.
To quickly get around ar the city bikes or the electric scooters practical alternatives. These have stations all over the city and payment are made through app.
If you are going out of city centre, public transport is easy to use. From the bus stop at Bryggen there are buses at all times in all directions.
As the house are located in a pedestrian street, there is no parking directly outside the property. There is a small area with paid parking only 100 meters away for parking up to 3 hours. For longer parking, "Birkebeiner Senter" will be the best option. This parking garage is only 250 meters away and is suitable for those arriving by car.
