This Belize jungle eco property is truly extraordinary. Surrounded by lush, vibrant rainforest, it offered the perfect balance of comfort, sustainability, and adventure. The howler monkeys sounded just like Jurassic Park. For sure take the pontoon boat ride!!! Walter, the host, was exceptional—attentive, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect and made us feel genuinely cared for when we had some car trouble. This was truly an experience we’ll never forget. Highly, highly recommended!

Walter was great to work with and helped us connect with the pontoon boat and horse back excursion owner, Robert. Our family of five loved being off the grid in the jungle! Monkeys every morning and night! Views of the river in the valley below. The property was very clean and comfortable. Be ready for the adventure staying at this location and a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. Solar power was a little issue with the rain storms but nothing that Walter couldn't overcome with his backup generator! Would love to stay here again some day and continue our jungle adventures!

The house has huge potential. It is privately located and has a beautiful patio, view and comfortable beds. The "gourmet" kitchen falls far short of this description, having old and scratched pans, dull knives and minimal baking dishes. The stove could be nice if it worked properly. We did not like having to start a loud and smelly generator every morning to charge the battery bank. The hot water only worked for a very short period and we had only cold showers during our 4 night stay. We were also surprised that the laundry was occasionally used by the cleaners and that the owner would just enter. We did the meal service for 1 dinner, and although it was good, it was severely overpriced. We had to same US 30 PP dinner at the local market for US 6.50. Additionally, AWD or 4WD is required for the roads if there is any rain. The use of the canoe was a nice touch.

This property was a trek- in the best way. The scenery is idyllic and so peaceful. The home is gorgeous and everything we hoped for. Lucy’s cooking was a huge bonus!! Go for her belezian breakfast AND the monkeys you can see from the balcony… we did a jungle river tour and horseback ride that basically left from the property and were life changing. I could not recommend a place more!

Eco-Friendly Jungle Retreat

This property was peaceful and serene in the jungle of Belize. The views from each room were picturesque and simply amazing. The home is remote from town and roads are not the best but still a wonderful place to stay. The host Walter is very knowledgeable and helpful and accommodating. With his guidance, we were able to see all of the local sites including the ruins, waterfalls, cave etc. The location of the house is perfect, and we were able to see the spider monkeys, enjoy the pontoon boat trip, and can hear the howler monkeys throughout the day. We requested a chef for our meals, and they are reasonably priced and each day we had a delicious breakfast and dinner prepared fresh for us. A very enjoyable and peaceful retreat to disconnect from the electronics.
entry way to the caves which are explored via the canoes.
cave entrance and the water is crystal clear.
the caves at barton creek. amazing excursion and a must-see place in belize.
