Excellent hotel! Brand new and comfortable

San Diego Express Palmares is a new hotel which was built mainly for start operations during the world cup. I arrived at July 6th and was worried about the hotel (there were some bad reviews of June on some sites) but fortunately everything was great. Staff was very kind and helpful and they hired people who talk in both English and Spanish. Room was comfortable with a nice flat TV and hot water. I totally recommend it since the hotel's area is quiet and safe too, near a big mall (Minas Shopping) in case you want to buy something. Nice experience definitely!

Hotel still being built!

We stayed there late June 2014 and it was apparently still in the process of being built for the World Cup. Our room had no mirror and no storage space and the door fit badly. Staff was eager but very inexperienced. Breakfast was good, as was the wi-fi.

O café da manhã era realmente muito bom, mas tive que trocar de quarto pois a fechadura do meu estava trancada e sou mulher viajando sozinha. Meus lençóis e travesseiros estavam sujos quando entrei no segundo quarto. A água do chuveiro tinha cheiro de esgoto e o ralo não funcionava direito, empoçava, então tive que colocar uma das toalhas no chão para secar.o cobertor cinza soltava tinta, manchou meu pijama.

Staff da recepção maravilhosa pela Elaine e Rafael, Matheus e Leon (muito prestativo) Deivid e Selma no café são uma simpatia! Deivid é um amorzinho! Wi-Fi funcionou bem! Quarto tem um bom tamanho e estava limpo superficialmente, caiu um anel no chão e foi assustador olhar embaixo das camas e do frigobar 😬 O colchão era muito mole, e os travesseiros muito duros, pedi pra trocar duas vezes! O ar gela bem, acústica boa. No banheiro, trocavam as toalhas todos os dias e os itens de higiene! O hotel tem estacionamento gratuito com limite de vaga. Tem microondas na recepção e uma cervejeira com vários itens disponíveis à venda entre bebidas e comidinhas! Achei top👏 Tem cafézinho com biscoitinho e água saborizada disponível na recepção! AMEI!!!😍 Em frente ao restaurante tem um sanduba maravilhoso do Ed+Burguer, e uma comidinha ao lado do baiano que é bem servida e com preço bom, os dois é só atravessar a rua! Se não fosse a cama que foi sofrível, eu daria um excelente, mas por isso, fica uma nota BOA!
