I had a reservation at Grand Resort & Residences, Belize City from January 31 to February 3, 2026, but was unable to arrive due to a severe snowstorm that grounded flights in Charlotte, NC. I was stranded for two days, sleeping at the airport the first night and receiving hotel and food vouchers from American Airlines the second night.
I understand the non-refundable policy, but this was an uncontrollable weather emergency. After contacting Expedia and the property directly, no refund or accommodation was offered. I paid for a stay I never began. I hope management considers more flexibility in unavoidable emergency situations.
