Lovely room although cold. Coffee machine didn’t work and was promised milk that never arrived. Also no bath towel so couldn’t have a shower.
Arrived at 5:30 pm which is the earliest you can check in so bear that in mind not suitable for anybody with a disability or walking issues due to the amount of steps the rooms are not in the main pub put up steps through the garden at the back. If you use your satnav to arrive, you will end up on the main street with the pub on the left and no ability to park. The parking is at the back of this could Well be described more clearly on Expedia. The Puppy is very old and has lots of character we impact in the room which was pleasant but think more B&B than Travelodge to have your expectations met I prefer places like this. It’s around 7 pm. We went downstairs to see if we could get something to eat but as it was Christmas, the pub was full of diners and they were unable to make a sandwich or anything at all pasta fast in the kitchen if they could just make us a starter or a side dish anything at all the answer was no way too busy. We’d already ordered a glass of wine so driving somewhere else was impossible unfortunately we had to go hungry. So my Advice would be to take some food with you as a backup because this pub is in a small village where you will need a car to access and the other areas nearby overall despite not being able to get anything to eat we recognise it was Christmas as long as you understand you’re going to a pro which is several hundred years old and you’ll have to go up 15 of steps outside and walk through the garden to get to the room then you will enjoy.

Beautiful room, comfy bed, and friendly staff this place is definitely a perfect stay if you’re looking for something more quaint with original features. We loved the decor and the little window looking out on to the pub court yard
This is our idea of the perfect Village Pub. Excellent choice of beers and drinks, superb food and and excellent range of dishes, friendly welcoming team, three cosy and well-appointed rooms.
The room was very clean and nice, the bed was very comfy. A little noisy as the window gives onto the pub outside area, but this is to be expected. The staff were very nice and were able to fit us in to the fully booked pub since we were boarding with them. The parking was good too and no issues with finding a space. Overall, very good value for money, would come again!
We stayed in the Green room for just one night but wished it was longer; what an absolutely lovely and deluxe room. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Chairs and sofa, a dressing table and a rather comfortable bed, and various types of pleasant lighting. Very clean bathroom with Faith in Nature toiletries and other useful extras. Someone has put a lot of thought into making this a lovely room. We had a nice welcome, the parking was good, and would thoroughly recommend.
Very comfortable room with very welcoming staff at the pub. Though I would advise don't go Monday as its a late check in and no breakfast. But the room was very nice, only minor issue was the coffee maker didn't work but it was very clean, very comfortable and amenities were excellent.
Amenities and local information in room very well thought out and comprehensive. Lots of fluffy towels and cosy bed cover. Friendly staff and excellent evening meal.
Amazing experience with staying at the Inn! Staff were all welcoming and friendly, the room we were booked in looked amazing and very niche! (I really like the interior design and the little details!) we will definitely come back again here again! I will mention though drinks were pricey but that something to overlook at.
Host was so friendly. We got in late, had flown over night from the US, hadn't slept in 36 hrs. The place was cozy and adorable. Didn't have a phone cube for England, let me borrow one for the night, we slept for 12 hours! He filled up our water bottles in the morning. Such a lovely place.
This was part of my birthday celebrations and it did not disappoint. The room was clean and cosy and had everything we needed.
The food was also great and the staff friendly.
It was a perfect stay and we would of stayed an extra night if the room wasn't already booked.
Beautiful area and beautiful pub. Wonderful food and lovely deserts. Friendly staff and lovely customers, talkative and easy to talk to. Amazing place to be..
