We had the most magical stay in this beautiful yurt near Barmouth. It was the perfect escape from the world – quiet, relaxing, and full of calm. Our boys, aged 4 and 7, had the best time swinging in the hammock, toasting marshmallows, drinking hot chocolate, and going on bug hunts. The yurt was clean, spacious, and cosy, with comfy beds for all of us. The new kitchen area had everything we needed. A short walk took us to a stunning panoramic view of the estuary. This peaceful, fairy-tale spot was a perfect family break – we can’t wait to return!

Magical stay and a magical setting
I stayed with my teenage son and we had The Most Wonderful Time. On top of the wonderful yurt we stayed in we received amazing hospitality, swam in a local lake at walking distance, mountain biked and gasped over the gorgeous setting in nearby Coed y Brenin and enjoyed a stunning sunset on the soft sands of Barmouth. All within easy reach. The host of this property provided the warmest and most welcoming stay, something we’ll never forget. We couldn’t have wished for more. We’ll be back for more than two nights next time to create more, stunning memories!

Fantastic Yurt in woodland.
We had a fantastic time staying in Rob's yurt. He's a great host - very friendly and helpful. ( He arranged bike hire for us at very late notice.)The Yurt is set up in it's own section of oak wood - full of owls and woodpeckers - overlooking Cadair Idris through the trees. No screens/wifi, a camp fire with cooking tripod, great walks/rides from a cosy Yurt with a log burner, chickens to befriend - what more could you want?!
A fantastic relaxing retreat for anyone that likes a bit of peace and quiet. A real escape from daily life. Beautiful surroundings in woodland with fantastic hosts, making it a perfect retreat. Will definitely be going back sometime soon.

October break
Lovely property well-equipped. Close to Barmouth centre. Be prepared for a bright starlight sky thanks to no light pollution...but also be prepared for a walk up/down steps when you need a wee...little scary in the dark and slippery in october. Really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Woodland escape
Rob was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic when we arrived, giving us a great tour of the yurt and (substantial) surrounding land.
The yurt itself was really cosy and the 4 of us (plus dog) slept really soundly there, and really enjoyed being surrounded by the trees - the evening spent talking around the fire-pit was a holiday highlight.
The biggest surprise was the incredible views down the estuary - just a 10 minute walk up the hill and bridleway.

Excellent Stay
We loved our stay at the yurt. Rob was a brilliant host, providing alternative walking routes owing to change in weather. The yurt is well appointed and in a beautiful spot in the trees. I haven’t slept as well in years! Highly recommend a visit.

Magical woodland stay
My family and I had a brilliant time. The set up of the yurt, camp fire, hammock and kitchen area allowed us to experience all the fun of camping outdoors in a special place but with no stress. The walks and views from the yurt are wonderful and whatever the weather there was always something to do. A great location to reach Barmouth beach too, just a short drive up the road.

Relaxing Short Break
Very cosy, comfortable and quiet, made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent spot for friendly dogs. The yurt, kitchen area and bathroom were all perfect for our stay. Great location for walks with some starting only a few steps from the yurt itself. All in all a lovely little place that we hope to return to.

Experience with children
Lovely yurt. Rob was a great helpful host. We had children aged 1, 3 and 6
As per advert the yurt is in the forest which does mean you need to be very vigilant with the children. Would stop again but felt my grandchildren are a tad too young yet for the environment .

What a wonderful getaway
Our family had such a wonderful stay. Rob and Jen are great hosts. Always there when you need them. The property is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice at all. The yurt and kitchen is very well equipped. There was nothing we needed. A short drive to Barmouth but there are walks to do from the Yurt with some of the most stunning views of the bay. Our children had a wonderful time playing in the woods, relaxing in the hammock and fell in love with the free range chickens which produce the most delicious eggs. We are already trying to work out when we could go back for another visit. Thank you Rob and Jen for making us feel so welcome.

Magical Yurt in fabulous setting
We stayed two nights and wished we'd booked for longer. The yurt is beautiful with all the resources that visitors could expect. The yurt is situated up on top of a forested bank above the road to Barmouth, and the friendly and helpful owners lives in a house at the bottom of the slope. Visitors climb up a delightful wooded pathway to get to the site. Everything is well organised and thoughtfully executed. The little under-cover kitchen is well resourced, there is an excellent fire pit for barbecues, lovely lanterns and nightlights increase the sense of atmosphere after dark. There are free-range chickens and delicious fresh eggs are available. The bathroom, at the bottom of the slope, is elegant and practical. The walks around the yurt are absolutely stunning and completely secluded, and there are beautiful views as well as lakes, mountains and rivers. It's perfect for ntaure-loving families or anyone who enjoys the outdoors. A truly magical place.
