Location was fantastic. The staff were so nice. The room was in great shape, just need to do a touch up on the paint in the shower. I appreciate the bottle of wine, beer, water, muffin and fruit. I would recommend your place to anyone visiting Barcelona. Please let me know what other locations you have.

Location! Located on the most beautiful plazas in old Barcelona, Pl Reial. The room was clean and had a balcony door which we left open when we were in the room for fresh air. The bathroom, towels and sheets were boutique quality. Be prepared for the 2 flights up (more like 3) with no elevator. The front door, hotel door (building shared with apartments) and your room door all work from a 6 digit code. The kettle for tea was nice but only 4 oz paper cups. We could not figure out the coffee. The food was sad. Wrapped mini muffins from BJ's and shriveled fruit. Just steps from the door were excellent pastry shops and markets. The square at night is extremely loud, with the bars open to early morning. Every morning at 5am the police came to shut down and send the last of the revelers home. Then from 5:30 to 7:00 the Plaza is empty and quiet. Book a cab if going out at first light. The true negative is that in the middle of our stay the 24 hour desk, one reason I would pay the price of the room which I thought a bit high, cut the hours to 11:00 to 7:00, the 8:30 to 18:30. The emergency number did not work on my phone but did work on my travel companions. If I had known ahead I would have canceled my reservation and switched hotels but we were in the middle of our stay. We requested a cab for the airport and had it pick us up at 6:35 as I wanted someone on the desk when the cab arrived or failed to arrive. Their transportation arrangements worked well.

The hotel is on the third floor and there is no elevator. The desk person was helpful but it was a lot of stairs coming and going. The room was spartan. There were no tissues in the bathroom. They said that there was coffee in the lobby but it was no good. It was over 400 euros for two nights and I would not do it again.

Great location, metro close by but walking distance to many places. Rooms at the front provide fantastic views overlooking the "Royal Square" which can be lively at night. Ear plugs are provided but if you are a light sleeper you may struggle! However if you like being at the heart of everything, then this is the place for you! Rooms are modern, clean & compact but have everything you need and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no lift (at present) but it's only 2 flights of stairs and you can apparently call the Hostal if you do need help with luggage. It's not a Hotel, so no facilities such as a restaurant or bar but lots of options in the Square, right outside your doorstep!

The staff was friendly, approachable and helpful. When you walk in, there is a welcome area with free Nespresso coffee and delicious chocolate. My room was clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The location is fantastic, in a plaza full of restaurants with outdoor seating and the plaza is next to La Rambla (street full of restaurants and shops). It's walking distance to the Columbus statue where one of the bus stops for the Hop on - Hop off bus stops. About a 20 min walk to Gaudi's Casa Batllo.

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Ambos. Cecilia was a rock star. She went above and beyond to meet our needs and that is really exceptional and appreciated. The room was cozy and beautiful. The shower was great. We loved the shower. In general, the room was spacious for two people for being Europe. The balcony was nice with a beautiful view of the Plaza Real. Conveniently located to all the main attractions. Walking distance to reataurants, shops and public transportation. We love the hostal and we'll definitely stay again when we return to beaitiful Barcelona. Cecilia, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.

The balcony views overlook an amazing non stop action plaza. This is in the heart of Barcelona and you can see La Ramblas from the balcony. This is truly an amazing experience for staying in Barcelona. We were staying from Canada on our Honeymoon and the staff left us a bottle of champagne in the room and were very very nice. We can't say enough about how happy we were with our stay.

The hostal is terrible we needed to walk up through the stairs four floors with the baggage. Area unsafe, very old and smell so bad. The only good thing was the location. I would recommend to look some options around that would be much better at the same or better price.

We had a great stay at Hostal Ambos Mundos! We were right in the gothic quarter surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants, with La Rambla right down the street. Everything was walking distance for us including the beach and Gaudi buildings. As for the hotel, it was very cute and cozy with a friendly staff. Also the property is staffed 24/7 so we felt safe and without fear of being accidentally locked out. Despite being in a very central area, our room was super quiet and we were able to rest peacefully each night. Keep in mind there are no elevators but that was not an issue for us!
