We had a wonderful stay! Lovely Inn, walking distance to great restaurants & beautiful sites. Short ride to Acadia. Dan & Joan couldn’t be more accommodating. Hope to be back again in near future.
Beautiful inn, Joan and Dan were so kind and hospitable. It's a nice short walk to downtown Bar Harbor. And everything was super smooth while we were there. We especially loved the jacuzzi tub in our room!

Lovely overnight stay. Welcomed with wine and cheese. Hosts offered really great recommendations on activities. Location is prime for a scenic walk to town along the ocean! Stayed in Abbott Suite which does not include bfast but was luxurious.
Very beautiful, authentic Inn. Our stay was relaxing, and the innkeepers were so welcoming and accommodating. Even my husband said he wanted to book them again, and that's rare!
Great place, lovely carriage house with plenty to do, awesome breakfasts, a stocked library and engaging hosts. A wonderful landing place from which to explore all the opportunities Bar Harbor and Acadia park have to offer. Highly recommend.
What a beautiful Inn! We stayed in the Yellow Room which was nicely appointed and opened into a charming sitting room.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and wonderful advice about sightseeing from our hosts.
The Inn is away from the bustle of downtown, but close enough to walk.
We had a wonderful time and highly recommend a stay at Chiltern Inn.
This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway. Dan and Joan were so welcoming and helpful when it came to navigating bar harbor. The property was super cute and a short drive to Acadia.
This was our first time staying in a BnB. I’m just not sure that it’s a good fit for us. The house was lovely and had plenty of amenities.
The bed was not comfortable and we couldn’t get the AC to a comfortable temperature.
We never saw the owners or any staff, not that we were there a lot, but just seemed a little different.
Absolutely beautiful place and the food is delicious, the hosts Dan & Joan are both so sweet and helpful. I noticed the pool also has a lot of floatable rafts and toys so the young ones can have fun as well.
You couldn’t find better hosts than Dan and Joan. The absolutely beautiful house with all the talent and memories hanging on the wall to the authentic period furniture gave the house a warm, friendly and calming atmosphere. Dan is quite the talent on the piano and can sing with the best of them. And waking up to Joan’s delicious and artful breakfast was fantastic.
Very nice stay, the Raven's Nest room was very private and we had our own parking spot off the road. Super charming New England feel with some typical 'old house' B&B things, but it was great to have a full kitchen and dining space to cook and spread out. Super homey feeling, and although we never got a chance to use them, there were great amenities and extras like wine and cheese in the afternoon.
This is a beautiful Inn, but it is tired and needs some love. The photos of the Inn are not even close to what it actually looks like. It felt like we were staying in the home of a great aunt who hasn't been able to take care of her home in many years. The owners were great, but the Inn needs some serious TLC. For the price, and expectations, we were very disappointed.
