This is a wonderful motel with a good breakfast buffet, well kept facilities, lots of programs, equipment, games and amenities. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of activities offered and the resources the motel provided. They provided smores almost every night, had charcoal and utensils for the grills, had trekking poles and insulated coolers to loan and a pool heated so you can dip-in even though its September in Northern New England. the room was well appointed and maintained, the lobby had lots of games to choose from a big screen TV that you were allowed to watch movies at and even a popcorn maker. It made it tough to leave for the day to do the things we came to do in Acadia. Highly recommended by us

This motel was truly a retro-1960s place, complete with 1960 dial phones, salt & pepper shakers in 1960 colors (teal and light green), and images of drive in movies by a 40" screen in the dining room. They had gone all out in providing their patrons with many conveniences (e.g., walking sticks, umbrellas, and hula hoops.

Quiet, comfortable and a great breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable room. The rooms are set back from the main rd so it's very quiet.The grounds are spacious with places to sit around the evening firepit. The shuttle stops right out front saving the hassle of driving and parking in Bar Harbor. The breakfast is excellent. Although described as a continental breakfast, it's really an extensive buffet with bacon, eggs, sausage.

We loved Bar Harbor Motel! Perfectly located just a few minute drive from Acadia and downtown. The breakfast had a nice variety of options. The room was clean and we loved the 2-bedroom style room. This place exceeded expectations and is at the top of our list to return to!

The facility is billed as “Retro”, and its is … 1950s motif and all. It is very convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor and at a fair price. The included breakfast buffet was better than most. The staff is very friendly and helpful and provided a number of nice touches, like the morning trail mix, stamped postal cards, and the fire pit in the evening. Unique. Atypical. We’re glad that we stayed.

Love this Motel! Convenient, comfortable friendly. This motel has a Retro upgrade to the whole property. Rooms and Bed were fresh and clean. A really nice breakfast selection and a convenient path to the Acadia Park. Extra bonus, a bus stops in front of the property to take you into and back from town. Awesome place. Well worth the price

Perfect family getaway

Check in was quick and easy..this motel takes you back in time. Super clean The family room was perfect to have two bedroom for one room rate. We loved it and would stay here again in a heartbeat
