Great Hotel

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night on a road trip up to Acadia so we booked at Howard Johnson. My only complaint was the overpowering smell in the lobby during check-in. However, once we got up to our room that smell was gone. The room was spacious and clean and I absolutely loved the look of the 1970's vibe. The bed was comfortable. Check-in and check-out was great and the staff members were kind and helpful. We did not have breakfast in the morning, so I can't comment on that, but everything else was way above what I had anticipated. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again as well as recommend it.

Everything was great. Bathtub had worn marks in bottom but that was the only thing I saw that wasn't just fine. I would definitely stay here again. Staff was pleasant. Bag breakfast was adequate.

Called and phone did not work to front desk. They knew the phone did not work because she said you can hear me but I cannot hear you. Call from cell no light bulbs in lamps and on one light worked called to tell them. Still waiting for bulbs it is far and I have the light from my tv and bathroom to see in the room

Terrible experience no pool and witnessed prostitution happening as we were about to check in. We didn’t even check into our room and cancelled room but were charged $30 for a “late” cancel.

Good: Staff was professional; Room and bathroom very clean. Easy check-in; good location next to the airport. Some things to know: the walls were not thick so I could hear people's TV in the next room. Breakfast is a grab-and-go bag, not a full breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay.

When it comes to being a pet friendly motel, one should not be surprised at a hidden fee for $20 for pet. During check in online after checking how many adults, kids and such. Should be a box to check with pets? Then if you check it, then it should show $20 fee for pet. Full Discloser!

Front desk clerk not pleasant no information on breakfast ask her a question and it looked like she couldn’t be bothered. Booked for two nights she programs the room key for one night. When I checked in there was no one in the lobby.
