There were a few positives and negatives about this hotel. On a positive note, it is conveniently close (a 5-minute walk) to the Phaya Thai Airport Rail Link and BTS stations, although it is along a rather unevenly paved alley. Another positive is the Top High Hotel Cafe, which has a good variety of food for breakfast (and other times) and very good coffee. My room, however, was a little unclean with some dirty marks on the walls and was, overall, a little 'tired'. The hot water in the shower was not hot enough - I like a quite hot shower so this was a little disappointing. The bedding, though, was spotless. Some reviewers have comments on the noise from the trains, which are certainly clearly heard, but I didn't find this annoying at all. There is a 7-11 just a minute's walk from the hotel, which is very convenient. Regarding value for money, I think this hotel is about what one would expect. I paid AUD 61 per night at a time that Bangkok is ramping up for its high season (Late November + early December). I would stay here again.
