DON'T DO IT!

It would be very challenging to find a crappier room than this. Especially for $36 US a night. I could have spent $20 a night and had the same level of crappiness. I requested non-smoking but the offensive smell in the room made that a moot point. Was it the ancient carpeting? The moldy air conditioner? Surely YES. What Thai hotel has no "bum gun" in the wc? This one. Of course the towels were threadbare and the bed was lumpy and saggy. That is to be expected. If emojis were used for rating the one I would choose would be the stinky pile of brown. I would not stay here again if it was free. End of rant.

The staff is VERY friendly and polite and always ready to assist you. And most of them speak way above average English. There was a very loud building-site outside my room at the time of my stay but that was of course out of these guy's control. The only complaint I have (and I have expressed this) is that I could only have one registered guest and nobody else could visit me without me paying 600 THB per visit. This information was not available at Expedia's website at the time of my booking. At least I could not see it. The staff told me that they had previously tried to get this information across to Expedia so I don't think they were at fault. I told the ladies at the reception that I would definitely check in with them again when I was a family guy and not single anymore. I highly recommend this place for couples and families.

Friendly and helpful staff

Good place to stay. Close to skytrain and shops. Ladies on the front desk were very helpful with directions etc Note you can get a jug from the front desk with a bond that is refunded when jug is returned. Good size pool to cool down in the Bangkok heat. Overall a very good experience.

Cigarette Smoke smell all over. Outdated and dirty

The location of the hotel is good. Terminal 21 is a great place to hangout. Unfortunately the place is outdated with dirty smelly carpet. There are interconnecting room doors through which cigarette smoke seeps in. Also the ask tray is located outside the room, so the smell seeps in through the door. This place is not suitable for families with kids. We stayed for 8 nights. The toilets were never cleaned and our request were never understood. Had to request for bath mat every other day.

Booked a double bed which was confirmed but when arrived was gived a twin room. My check-in was put on hold while some 'walk-ins' were registered with a double room andd then i was processed. When i complained about the twin room, i was told that was all that was available but i could change rooms later in the week.

Ruamchitt Travelodge

This basic 3 star hotel has reasonable rooms at reasonable prices.There is a lift and our room had a double bed,tv,fridge and drinking water was included daily.Also there was an outdoor swimming pool and you can order breakfast if you wish but we chose to eat out.The staff were pleasant,but the best thing about this hotel is the position.Right in the heart of Sukhumvit near shops,bars,restaurants,sky train stations and shopping mall.And it was about 100 yards down a side street which means it was far enough away to be quiet and near enough to just take a couple of minutes to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

Nightmare hotel

The hallway was dark and musky. The room has mode. The bathroom is a night mare....broken faucets, cracked and stained toilet seat, and the bath tub is scary. Not a good value hotel compare to other hotels nearby. Would not ever stay here again.

Very nice and calm hotel near everything

Hotel was super nice for my standards, rooms are clean and the neighbourhood is really quiet although you are 100 metres from Sukhumvit road where everything happens! Small pool also a great bonus. Staff very helpful. Will definetly come again.

Located in a Busy Tourist Area

This hotel is located in a very busy tourist area. A lots of restaurants and shoopings on the main street; and it also close to subway and sky trains. The hotel itself is a bit older; but you pay what you get.
