The staff was great - they even celebrated our anniversary with a treat in the room :) the property itself is okay. I understand you’re paying for the location, which it is a great location (any hotel on the road), but the room itself wasn’t great. We paid for a Mountain View when it was really a partial view with a building in front of us, the thermostat was broken, the AC unit very loud, and the door seal is non existent so you can hear everyone in the halls and even in the room. If you’re allergic to feathers, the alternative bedding is very uncomfortable. The biggest downside is the elevators. They smell awful and they’re very slow - most of the guests we interacted with always had a comment about them too. But the restaurant was tasty and the staff friendly. I would probably find another hotel nearby next time but it wasn’t all bad.

I wasn’t sure I made the right choice when booking a hotel in Banff. I mean, there are so many! When we arrived, I realized this is the first hotel when you come into the town. Why that was so awesome? We were able to ride the ROAM bus around the town for free (Otter Hotel gives you free passes) and the pickup (first stop) is right across the street. We were always the first on and able to get a seat. We spent 4 nights here and I am usually homesick and missing my bed. Not this time! The bed and pillows were the best I have ever slept on (former AAA hockey travel mom here)! The rooms were SPOTLESS, like, I felt okay walking around without my socks on in the room. The dining was good for breakfast and the hot tub was soooo relaxing at night when the temps dropped. The staff was always welcoming us back after a long day of hiking or shopping. The garage is also covered/inside so your vehicle is covered the entire time. I will definitely stay here again when we return to Banff.

Clean facilities, great location just away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but easy access to the main shopping and dining options in Banff. Bus passes for local travel and convenient parking were a definite plus.

Great boutique Banff hotel

Great little boutique hotel at the top end of Banff avenue. Parking was spacious and convenient. Room was compact but well appointed. Hot pools are great for the kids. Housekeeping was inconsistent with timing but efficient. Hotel was quiet and the AC worked. Free Roam bus tickets were a nice touch. The breakfasts at the neigh outing Canoe (same owners) are excellent.

This is a very new hotel and I think it opened in September 2024. Thus the hotel is at the end of Banff. The restaurant is very good for breakfast and dinner. The staff members are very friendly and helpful.

Would not recommend. The doors to the rooms are really thin and there’s a large gap between the door and the frame so all the noise and light from the hallway comes in. Also given how expensive this hotel is, you would think they would have central AC. The AC unit is built in right next to the bed so it’s very loud and blows directly in your face but if you don’t turn it on the room gets too hot. It’s clean and staff are nice the hot pools and sauna are basically what you’re paying for but not worth it in my opinion. At nearly a $1000 a night breakfast should be included or at least a discount at the restaurant in the hotel. Did not sleep well at all I don’t think this hotel is worth the money.
