Loved the unique decor of the hotel, restaurant and lounge. The staff here is exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. Had an issue with the room next door leaving a barking dog unattended for hours. The staff offered me a room change for the next day, which I accepted but I wish pets allowed by the Ulysses were restricted to certain floors, like they do at other hotels.

This was our time staying at The Ulysses, unfortunately i do not think we will be returning. Its cool and trendy and the location is great, but the rooms are not very comfortable or livable. The light is too dim (the pendant light was hung too low i kept hitting my head on it), the thermostat kept shutting down in the night, and there is no comfortable place to sit in the room.

Unique Stay At Ulysses

This my second time staying at this beautiful boutique hotel. I love the masculine aesthetic. The vibe is so engaging to all the senses. Moody colors, textured walls, old world medal accents, groovy eating establishments with unique food and cocktails. The signature scent is present everywhere you go in the hotel. I love the tones of tobacco, musk and wood that hits you when you first enter the lobby area and as the toiletries in the room. The room is so cozy. The color scheme is on point with the curtains, lines and carpet. Where do you get a bed canopy but at Ulysses? I love the bathroom tiles and vase mirror. It is an experience! I love chatting with the front desk attendees. They are friendly and welcoming. One recommendation would be to have coffee available in the rooms or main lobby. This would elevate the experience for guests in the future.

The hotel has such a unique aesthetic. Such a cool boutique type hotel. I researched via social media posts & booked our room. They advertise valet, but no valet anymore and no hotel parking lot. Off street parking in a neighborhood area is available .... check in went well. Our room was hot, had to have hvac turned on, and then toilet also did not work. We attempted to fix it ourself by taking the back off (maybe just a chain issue) but no luck. No phones in the room so had to go back down to desk to ask for maintenance help. Maintenance had left for the day, manager on duty was no help as he shared he was busy busing tables at the bar. Asked for new room (any room) but was told no rooms available.... the manager of the property told the receptionist to offer to "comp our weekend stay and offer another room key on a different floor - we could stay in our room but then when we need to use the bathroom facilities we could go to the floor above us, & use the other room key. Why not stay in that room you ask? Jvac not working . This was the most bizzare solution to any hotel challenge I've ever heard of. The staff were super stressed but were doing the best they can with no real management help. We ultimately packed up our room & headed to Hyatt. What a mess. Would never recommend . And I really wanted to love it here

Great location but a few issues. The first night we were there the property had A/C issues being that it was 64 degrees no matter what and the entire building was freezing and that evening the A/C was then shut off and was 78 degrees. The bars are both nice but again with it being so cold it really wasn't as enjoyable even with a jacket and a fleece. The second night while we were getting ready we got a call that there was a leak under us. Management came to the room and told us that our room caused the leak in the Ash bar. The faucets were off in our room, no water/leak visible and the shower was turned off.....but we were told that the handle must be closed tighter. The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable and all of the staff were very kind/professional.
