The Bald Head Island Club and Shoals Club operate independently from BHI Vacations, and guest memberships must be purchased directly through each club. So many things missing or broken

Having owned BHI property years ago, and educated in rentals, I expected so much more. The kitchen light over the sink and 3 other lights did not work. 5 very important missing items to prepare a meal, like strainer, can opener, broken coffee maker, with wrong shaped filters. 🔵 PLUS the back door would not lock for us. We only had one key so if we split up we had to leave the house open. But our realtor said there was never any crime on BHI ! That did not make my children any happier. Some things were just pathetic. Ruined a happy week we looked forward to all year…. But also our realtor said we can’t expect any more for the low price we paid !

Just ok

I hate to be negative but this rental could use a little tlc. The most important thing that needs immediate attention is the golf cart. We took it to dinner the first night and when we went to return home we discovered the headlights are so dim we couldn’t see 2 feet in front of us. It was very dangerous. Do not use the cart at night! The apt smells musty/old. Not sure if the air is not run enough or a dehumidifier is needed. The toiletries provided were a piece of soap the size of a quarter in each bathroom and a tiny tube of shampoo. The unit is fine and will get you on the island but don’t feel it’s up to BHI standards.

Comfortable

Comfortable but needs some upgrades. Property has all key basics. I did not not receive a confirmation if the property is registered to purchase pool access to two pools on the island - hence, cannot comment.
