We came here for a week in late November, looking forward to a relaxing spa break. They insisted that the whirpool (hot tub) is supposed to be at max 30°c. So it was cold and unusable during our stay here. The pillows are uncomfortable - one of them is lumpy and the other is narrow and hard. Room was okay. Spacious. Beautiful location by the lake. Parking is limited.

The hotel is located in front of a nice lake. I consider this hotel as a hidden gem. Is very beautiful and comfortable. Staff is customer oriented specially the lady at the frontdesk she is amazing. We arrived late in the night after a long trip from Denmark and she always had the best attitude. The breakfast is very tasty and complete. Super recommended.

A bit mixed. Lovely setting, nice traditional hotel, good pool area, good staff, breakfast great, has some parking, good food in the evening too. However room was a bit dated, dark (not enough lights), noisy people above, creaky bed, shower small. And they seemed under-staffed in the restaurant. They did however provide two very good meals for us

Will think twice before staying again

I’ve stayed at this hotel before. When I stayed before the room was at the front of the hotel & had a view of the lake. When I arrived this time I asked if I could please have a room with a bath. Having a lounge in a bath can really make my stay. The receptionist gave me an answer that I remember well. To have a room with a bath you will need to upgrade. I didn’t ask the price because I asked last time I stayed & it was about €30. Which is an extortionate amount to enable me to enjoy my stay. I checked in just before 9pm. I was extremely hungry but the kitchen shuts at 9pm. The receptionist was helpful in trying to find me somewhere that was open. But I’d manoeuvred my van in between 2 trees to try to keep the contents safe. It took about 5 mins toing & froing. I didn’t want to move it. So I got some cans & what was left of my block of cheese. The room had no view & was quite cold feeling. As though it hadn’t been slept in for a while. I didn’t enjoy my stay. Had they have upgraded me. Which wouldn’t have hurt them because it is unlikely anyone would purchase the room after 9pm. Had they have done this I could have had a soak & would’ve got over my hunger. They would’ve had a five star review then. But I paid £60. I didn’t enjoy my stay & will think twice before staying there again. Room was clean.well done. You didn’t manage to get any extra money out of me & you also managed to make my stay unpleasant & generate yourself a bad review. Not very good business sense really.

Excellent breakfast, great view, terrible smell

This would have been a great experience if it wasn't for the smell in my room which made me want to puke and gave me a headache. Even with all the windows open the smell was still there in the morning. When I talked to the receptionist about it she would not make any comment. I guess she knew what I was talking about. On the other side this hotel has a wonderful lake view and the breakfast was awesome.

We had booked a delux room and expected, thereforea view overlooking the lake, but was very disappointed with the prospect of a parking space. The beds are bad to sleep in, because you can feel all the springs in the mattress. The staff are very kind and friendly. The hotel is really good and you get really great food at the hotel restaurant.

Great hotel for a relaxing weekend. Beautiful surrounding area, walking, cykling and good shopping a short drive away. The hotel offers good friendly service, clean simply decorated rooms, lovely dining room overlooking the lake, attention to detail, fantastic breakfast and spa. Would definitly come back.

Personal super nett und hilfsbereit; Frühstücksbüffet üppig (wenn auch jetzt im November etwas ausgedünnt); Pool groß genug zum Runden schwimmen; ausgezeichnete Lage direkt am Dieksee, Fußweg zum Bahnhof 10 Minuten. Im November sind viele Restaurants in den Betriebsferien.

Vi er kommet på hotel Diksee igennem mange år- og det er altid dejligt at komme på hotellet og i området. Det ligger utroligt dejligt med til søen og vi fik denne gang et stort dejligt familieværelse med 2 små altaner og den smukkeste udsigt. Vi nyder også altid swimmingpoolen og den hyggelige søpromenade. Der er derudover relativ kort afstand til andre udflugtsmål såsom Lübeck og Kiel, Timmendorfer strand mm. Hotellet er af ældre dato- og charmerende. Det bliver renoveret løbende.Der er god mad og venligt personale. Vi kommer igen
