Second stay in this Hotel and room allocated was nicely modernised and appealing. Nice relaxed chill in the bar with some ViP guests and also Top Gear India BBC filming with an Aston Martin in the morning what could be better, would stay again in same room quality.

Lovely old hotel with loads of character in a very pretty town excellent location rooms are old but very well maintained and appointed the gardens are beautiful. Parking plentiful BUT access is very tight for large vehicles. Really nice breakfast. I believe the hotel is currently under refurbishment one this has been completed would rate higher.

Avoid it at all cost.

I checked in the hotel for a 2 night stay after a very long day at work. I ended up staying the first night, as i had no other choice. I was too tired to leave, and i was 2h away from home. The room was disgusting. Does not match the company website at all. It smelt awful - stale, mouldy smell. The bathroom was filthy and the toilet did not flush. Avoid at all cost. I did speak to the receptionist, who was a very nice lady, who understood my complaint and apologised. I informed her that I rather travel 2h home and back again the next morning, then stay there another night. Management - sort it out.

The hotel is a little dated and clearly needs more work doing. I waited a long time for someone to come to the reception desk for check in and felt the service could have been a lot better.

Charming hotel. We booked a junior suite, and the room and bathroom has been renovated. I was sceptical after reading some reviews but it was a great hotel in the end. It has all the services you’d expect and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Banbury is also a good base for touring the Cotswolds. Would stay again.

Arrived to an empty reception desk and was left waiting 10 minutes before a member of staff arrived. No apology and completely uninterested, so not a great start. The room was tired and throughout the 2 nights stay, there was no hot water and the water pressure was abysmal. When it came to check out, once again, member of staff completely uninterested and no empathy whatsoever. For £150 per night, I expect a lot more! Will not be returning

Amaaaazing!!!!!!!

Beautiful hotel, massive comfortable bed, fresh smelling linen, amazing shower, huge fluffy towels, amazing views, fabulous breakfast and the staff - amazing!!! What an amazing time we had; beautiful area with restaurants and bars, will definitely stay here again and the price was fantastic!!!
