Disgusting

I was planning to extend my stay, but after being here for my original two nights, I couldn’t do it. This place was so disgusting. There was a used towel underneath the sink, there were stains everywhere, there wasn’t even a smoke detector in the room! I could not believe it. Not to mention, the walls were paper thin so I could hear EVERYTHING at all hours of the night. As soon it was time for check out, I left to find another hotel. Do not waste your time here. The housekeeping was a joke, there was never anyone at the front desk when I needed assistance. I was super upset the entire time.

so this was a last minute find during the very expensive SXSW fest in Austin. so affordable and location were key. wins there. the place was sort of a dump. floors were not clean at all. paint chips everywhere. carpet not vacuumed in ever it seemed. terrible patch repair work around the bathtub. shower curtain doesn't cover the bathtub...so water everywhere....and the breakfast...um some microwavable sausage biscuits and a cereal bar and a very messy waffle maker. it's a clean bed though...so there's that.

the hall has this horrible moist smell, two dead cockroaches in the bedroom, one on the floor and the other one in the ceiling. it was the cheapest place in the area, but you get what you pay for. I just wanted to go home.

It was the least expensive option in downtown Aust

They only clean the rooms every three days. The overall appearance was rather shabby. However, the bed was comfortable and my room was quiet.

Misleading property

We were in town for SXSW and wanted a comfortable budget friendly hotel. What we found was an inn that has not been updated in years. Shoddy and crunchy. There was no flooring in the hallways leading to the rooms. The elevator didn't work properly. We had four lights in our room, two of them didn't work. Neither did the phone. We asked that they be fixed and they never were. The breakfasts were embarrassing with few selections, all processed foods. The hotel was convenient for our needs but so disappointing that we left Austin a day early.

Really think about this place

Overall it was an okay place. Front desk people were nice and helpful. The only issue that I had was the amount of roaches and dirty sheets that I saw. The location is perfect since it's next to the capital but I don't think it's worth it if you're trying to enjoy the experience near downtown.
