Difficulty finding reception, which was on level 2, but not clearly marked when you came into an enmpty lobby, that the "hotel" started at level 2. Reception spoke good english (I think) but with such a thick non-NZ accent that we had great difficulty understanding what she was telling us. Room, bed, breakfast & check out were well managed

Great stay for 3 days. Staff extremely pleasant, nice and accommodating. Located within Auckland Central Business District. Easy walking to major attractions within downtown Auckland. Extra bonus and accolades to front reception desk staff. Our flight from Canada arrived at 05:15 Auckland time. Arrived to hotel thinking we would have to wait to check in around 15:00, staff worked their magic and found a room to check in immediately (hotel was fully booked) which was quiet, away from crowds, elevators. We were sleeping soundly and recovering from Jet Lag by 7:00. Thank you Holiday Day Inn.

We had a comfortable room, facilities were good - especially self-service laundry. We weren’t expecting breakfast to be included, which was a bonus, but the availability of vegan options was very limited. Some items were labelled (eg bread) but there was no vegan spread. When we asked staff for more details, they didn’t know what was and what was not vegan - some items appeared to be suitable, but the staff didn’t seem to know or were unwilling to help.

The room was convenient and had everything you need in a small space. Parking station next door over priced and very narrow to drive and reverse the car. There needed to be another entry to the car park other than the car entry. Finding the reception area on the 2nd floor was a bit odd and we struggled a bit with our luggage but overall it was a good clean and convenient place to stay overnight.

Good-sized room and bathroom, including seating, small table and large television. Free breakfast is included. The hotel is within a few minutes walking distance from Queen Street and the harbour. This is one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed in.

I loved my stay here. I was on a solo trip and wanted to budget certain portions so my hotel was part of it during my stay in Auckland. I felt safe, taken care of by staff, and breakfast was quite good! You are close to everything downtown and can walk as well which is also great for solo travel.
