I recently stayed at the new Origin Hotel Atlanta for four nights. Overall, I enjoyed my experience, though a few things impacted the stay. The hotel is clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The location was great, everything I needed was within walking distance. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the avocado toast, which was fresh and flavorful. I didn’t try lunch or dinner, as the kitchen closes at 2 p.m., but breakfast left a great impression.
The staff were warm and welcoming. Miss Tracy at the front desk and the gentleman who checked me out were especially kind. Service was a bit slow, but the hotel is still new and seemed short-staffed, which is understandable.
That said, there were a few drawbacks. There was no hot water in my room during the entire stay, even after notifying the front desk. The walls are also extremely thin. I could clearly hear neighbors, and the evening socials were particularly loud. It made it difficult to unwind at night. Housekeeping never came, despite the hotel’s policy of service every three days. While the towels were very soft, I expected a mid-stay refresh that didn’t happen.
With time and improvements, this hotel could be a great option. The location, design, staff, and breakfast all stood out. I’d consider staying again if the noise, water, and housekeeping issues are addressed.
