The Divani and its staff were wonderful. However, Athens was a Greek tragedy. Graffiti and garbage everywhere. If you are looking for something close to the Acropolis, this is a great place for a couple days. After that, head out from Athens and find the areas that still show pride in their surroundings.

We enjoyed this hotel - it was luxurious, if a little dated, clean and cool and had excellent amenities including a restaurant with the best unobstructed rooftop view of the acropolis in Athens, was super convenient to shopping and all tourist sites. Service was also excellent. Would recommend.

We had an exceptional stay at the Divani Palace Acropolis after our cruise. We were traveling as a family with our 12 year old son, and the hotel was perfect for all of us. The location couldn’t be better, an easy walk to the Acropolis, great restaurants, shops, and lively squares 😀 The front desk staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Michael, the bellman, truly made our stay outstanding. He helped with our luggage, arranged transportation, and shared helpful tips whenever we needed them. He made sure that our luggage were stored safely while we visited Rome for a few days. Always kind, professional, and smiling 😀 thank you, Michael! We stayed in both the Executive Triple Room and the Acropolis View Terrace Room. Both were spacious, comfortable, and the quality toiletries were a nice touch. The food, drinks, pool, roof top bar, and views were phenomenal. Highly recommend! We will absolutely stay here again!

There were so many lovely things about this property but at the end of the day, sleeping conditions are the most important part of any stay. Our room was spacious and beds ok comfy. But there was a Merrill’s screeching noise that came off an on every 5-10 min all night long, like dying goblins in the walls. We were so jet lagged to bother with it when we fell asleep but at 3 am it just continued to get worse and worse. There’s no way no other guest ever complained about this and clearly they knew. We played them recordings. They comped us breakfast at hotel but nothing on room. Said we should have called at 3 am to move rooms. Don’t stay in room 322. Sounds like a torture chamber.

The hotel was located close to tour meeting spots, the Acropolis and museum and lovely food and drink options. The upscale restaurant on the roof had an excellent view of the Acropolis and a very tasty menu. The AC worked oerfectly despite the major heat wave. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. The rooms were cleaned daily. The staff answered every question with grace.

Photos are deceptive-this is a dump

I checked in yesterday and was greeted by the lovely Natassa who kindly gave me an early check in. With my status with expedia I am to recieve a bottle of Wine. Natassa told me water and the wine would be brought up to the room shortly… The water was never brought to my room… When I inquired about this with the hotel desk, I was told I had to go to the bar and purchase it for $12… The room was filthy. Ants were crawling all around. The bathrobe Has black eye makeup smeared all Over it. The hallways are repulsive and the carpet is over worn and stained. The pool looks nothing like photos with cheap chairs that are stained from all the bird droppings. In no way is this a five star hotel. This is a absolute dump!
