The doors auto lock after 11pm. Used phone to call front desk 50+ times. I could see the desk from entrance. No one around. No one answering. Had to wake someone else in the room to come down. Doors were locked form is wide as well. She rang desk bell a few times until a staff finally came out from back office. 100% he was sleeping. He had to unlock door in 2 places which I feel was a huge fire hazard. When I voiced my disgust with the situation he stared at me blankly. Then to top of off the smoke detector in the room started low battery beeping at 7am. Lovely. Thankfully spoke with manager in the morning and she was wonderful. Horrified that I had been kept outside for 45 minutes at 1am. Room was free.

I've already sent a review but I will repeat myself. This hotel stay was not good. We requested an upper room and early checkin and not only didn’t we get either, we had to endure rude, unapologetic staff, a room that hadn't been cleaned when they sent us there, having to wait an hour (4pm) past checkin time, and having to endure staff excuses ranging from 'we're too busy' to 'it's because you booked on Expedia'. We were made to fedl completely unimportant and unwelcome by this hotel and its staff. We travel all over the world and this was indeed one of the worst experiences we've had. We won't be using this hotel again and expect a full refund.

As the only real modern hotel option in Assiniboia this is a great place to stay. It was quiet, staff was very friendly, easy to access and the room was very large.
