Eco Design House Ducarinne is a truly unique holiday retreat where rustic French authenticity harmoniously blends with modern design. The house has been carefully renovated, resulting in a place where you can enjoy exceptional luxury, modern comfort, and a beautiful, diverse setting. Horseback riding enthusiasts: for an additional fee, you can bring your own horse(s)!
Ducarinne is located in the Lot-et-Garonne department, an up-and-coming region in the southwest of France, best known for its fantastic wines and local produce. Unlike many other southwestern regions, Lot-et-Garonne has not yet been discovered by mass tourism, which lends the area an authentic and tranquil atmosphere. The house features striking elements of Scandinavian design combined with traditional French touches, such as exposed wooden beams and a stunning stone terrace.
Indoors
There are five hotel-quality bedrooms at Ducarinne. Three of them are located on the ground floor and feature modern en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. The remaining two bedrooms, on the first floor, share a bathroom. One of the ground floor bedrooms (with en-suite bathroom) is fully equipped for wheelchair users.
There is also an inviting living area with a charming, well-equipped kitchen and a large, long wooden table, perfect for enjoying cosy meals on cooler days. A foosball table is also available. Throughout the house, you’ll find black steel accents and beautiful wooden details, giving the space a calm yet luxurious feel. Three portable fans are available, as well as a ceiling fan in the living room.
Outdoors
Outside, you’ll find a stunning, spacious, and partially covered terrace (accessible via sliding doors), with original tiles in the same tones as the interior, making the living room feel even more open and spacious. The terrace overlooks 5 hectares of private land and offers truly exceptional views.
There’s a long dining table outdoors, ideal for al fresco dinners with the woodland landscape as a backdrop. A 10-metre long natural stone swimming pool (6 metres wide!) and a pool house complete the picture. In the garden, you’ll also find comfortable loungers and lounge chairs, a BBQ, ping pong table and plenty of space for children to play.
From the parking area, which accommodates multiple cars, a dedicated path has been installed for wheelchair access.
Surroundings
The area offers many attractions, including several thermal spas, a golf course, riding schools, lakes, tennis courts, and a boulodrome. There is also a scenic cycling route near Casteljaloux.
